Sturdy and fun working parts!Mostly easy assembly but water tubes for sink required tools .

The toy itself is a big hit, but there is SO MUCH plastic to take apart in order to access the pieces you need. There has got to be a better way! Most pieces have a tiny piece of plastic sticking out from where it was connected to others, and it’s sharp!

Looks really nice, but one of the worst toys I’ve ever had to assemble—and I love putting together toys and ikea furniture. The parts require being cut free with a box opener and it’s difficult to leave smooth edges (or I guess I should say time consuming). For example the top of the salt and pepper shaker you have to pop out the middle inside a circle that’s about 1 cm so it’s a tight fit for the the knife. While I adore the look and accessories, the cost is rather high considering I could have bought a functional grill for the the same amount instead of a child’s toy grill —my husband joked the toy assembly looked worse than assembling our actual grill. All together it took me over 4 hours to put it all together. The lid fit on perfectly so no issues there. I loved all the little features, like the lighter, moving flames and functional sink (though I haven’t tried out the sink yet). The lettuce leaves are a bit useless since they don’t fit into the burger. I’m optimistic my child will love it, but I sort of regret all the effort it took and might recommend little tikes or step 2 to a friend, especially if they aren’t into assembling things

Purchased for son’s birthday and absolutely loves it. Challenging to understand picture instructions at first but once got going was easy enough. Well worth the money if you have a little chef in the making.
