Why is it not recommended for squirrels?

I would think they would work for squirrels. They would certainly be deterred from walking on the areas covered by the spikes.

Will these help keep my dog from jumping over the fence?

I wouldn't recommend them for that purpose. In all likelihood your dog will be injured if s/he comes in contact with the spikes. These are extremely sharp and will easily puncture the paws or other areas of your dog's body.

Has anyone used this for rabbits? or know if it'd be effective for rabbits in the garden bed? Thank you.
