D'Addario H-Ligature & Cap, Alto Sax, Gold-plated (HAS1G)

Ok - this ligature is HEAVY DUTY and of much higher quality than most. The mouthpiece cap is thick, rubbery, and nicely protects my hard rubber mouthpiece. I would think this would fit a standard plastic mouthpiece as well, but don't have one to try it on. You can get a great buy for these items on Amazon, and I highly recommend these Rico items.

I have been using a fabric type ligature on my alto mouthpiece for some years and I love my tone with it. I bought this one on a whim since I bought a tenor one for a new hard rubber mouthpiece. I was a little disappointed with the tenor version since it is too large to fit in a good spot on the new mouthpiece and I can barely get it tight before I run out of room. The alto ligature, however is perfectly sized with lots of room to spare. I like how it frees up the reed nicely. I now have the choice of a darker or brighter tone on the alto using the same reed and mouthpiece.

I really needed a new ligature, having gone through several cheap ones in the past several years. I was using an old stock Bundy ligature off my first student horn on my Selmer Super Action 80 Series II. So I thought this one would do the trick - and it has worked like a charm. Holds the reed nice and tight to my Couf 5* mouthpiece. I recommend it, since it really is a pretty good buy. The cap is a bit tight fitting and I use an old cap instead. Not a biggie since I was buying this for the ligature itself.

We'll see how it goes long term. First few times using it, it's hard to get the ligature to match the shape of the mouthpiece. You have to tighten it and let it shape itself to fit. Meanwhile, the reed is slipping several times. The tone and playability seem pretty solid for the ligature so I'm hoping it will adjust itself to the exact shape of the mouthpiece.

This Ligature was recommended by friend of mine, so when I ordered it on Amazon I was excited about trying out something new. After it arrived, I pulled out my Alto to try it out. Right away I was put off by how hard it was to adjust on the mouthpiece that I originally tried it on- Selmer C* and so I pulled out my Ottolink to see if there was any improvement and I really just was unhappy with the "fit". Deciding to play something with it to give it a fair chance.. I had to stop after a few minutes just to readjust it. The ligature doesn't even stay tight enough on the mouthpiece and reed to keep it in place. As far as metal ligatures, that's been a standard experience, but I did like the tone it helped me achieve. Still.. average at best.

FINALLY. This is the 4th Rico H Ligature I've ordered from Amazon. I returned three because they were shipped in bags and the package containing the ligature and cap was crushed as was the ligature. T his time the product was shipped in a box and it arrived in good condition. I play tenor and found the tenor metal ligature doesn't fit tight on all my metal mouthpieces, so I ordered an alto model this time.

I bought the silver ligature for a $360 Meyer New York bros mouthpiece. The ligature broke immediately. Very flimsy, poor design, very disappointing and definitely not a match for such a mouthpiece and even less for any beginner sax players.

I purchased this because of my dissatisfaction with the fabric Rovner ligature I have used on my Rico C5 alto mouthpiece. The lig does as stated in the product description, holds the reed by four points, letting it vibrate as needed. I immediately noticed a brighter tone, better response, just all around better fit. For the price, this is a great ligature. I also have a metal Dukoff clone mouthpiece that came with a terrible ligature, I may order a soprano ligature to see if it fits, as one reviewer mentioned.

クラシックではbgが人気ですが、僕は断然こっちが好きです。 他のリガチャより、リードを抑え過ぎないように作られていて、良い意味で開放的な音になります。 開放的というのは、決して音色が広がってしまうという意味ではなく、響きが増して開放的な音(広がりを持った音)になる、といった感じです。 また特徴として、タンギングのキレがよくなります。これもリードの抑え方によるものだと感じます。 bgと比較すると、bgは確かにクラシックに適したまとまった音色を作りだしてくれますが、こちらのハリソン型リガチャに比べると、響きの量は少なく、線の細い(？)印象を僕は受けました。 bgの人気ぶりに感化かれ僕も半年くらい試してみましたが、結局こちらに戻ってきました。 僕は今セルマーのs90を使っていますが、恐らく、バンドレンのマウスピース(a28とか？)だとbgの方が相性いいのかなと思いました。 もともとセルマーはまとまった音が出るマウスピースなので、開放感を加えることの出来るこちらのリガチャが相性良く、 またバンドレンのマウスピースはもともと開放感はあるので音をまとめるためにbgのリガチャが相性が良い、といった感じでしょうか、、？

La ligadura está muy bien, sin embargo la caja llegó aplastada y la abrazadera tambien venia adentro aplastada, realmente busqué la forma de dejarla bien enderezandola para ahorrarme el proceso de devolución pero si venia muy aplastada.

バイクも楽器もYAMAHAということで、YAS82ZにセルマーS90の？？と思われるらしい組み合わせで、このリガチャーを使用しています。高校の吹奏楽ではティンパニー、セットドラムなどの打楽器がメインポジションの身でしたので、ちょっと吹ける程度のレベルです。仕事が忙しい等の理由で１０年以上も音楽から遠ざかっていましたが、最近また始めようと思ってリガチャーを探していたところ、ハリソンタイプのこの商品をずいぶん前にamazonで購入していたことに気づき双六でいうところのふりだし状態で楽しく練習しています。

Die H-Ligatur ist für mich ein solides Teil, das sich für viele Musikstile einsetzen lässt. Deshalb habe ich sie gewählt. Einen Stern Abzug gibts für den Umstand, dass die Ligatur in zwei Größen existiert: für Metall- und Kautschuk-Mundstücke. Da ich auf der Seite des Anbieters keine Auswahlmöglichkeit fand, habe ich also quasi "blind" bestellt. Es kam aber die richtige. Außerdem hat meine - versilberte - Ligatur bereits etwas Patina, die sich aber sowieso nicht vermeiden lässt. Die Lieferung war sehr schnell, die Verpackung großzügig.
