The brush that arrived here had the correct 8-inch length, and the hardwood handle was marked "Valentino Garemi" and "Made in Germany", as in the listing's photos. The bristles/hairs were soft and shined my first two pair of shoes nicely. As for losing hairs, after my first pair of shoes I swept the floor carefully and found two lost hairs. After my second pair of shoes I swept the floor again and found zero lost hairs. I take that as a sign that this is the old-school buff brush that I've been looking for ever since my last house move, when my trusty brush from the 1970's disappeared.
