Bose SoundLink Flex Bluetooth Portable Speaker, Wireless Waterproof Speaker for Outdoor Travel-Black

Bose used to be a flawless company when it came to speakers. I have the first generation Revolve Plus and it was outstanding. Then I got some other products like the Home Speaker 500, the Bose TV Speaker and the Bose Portable Home Speaker and they all had a very manufactured thumpy sound. I tried to hear in various settings and style but nearly all of those speakers failed to emulate the first gen Revolve Plus. Then along came 2nd gen of Revolve Plus, a tenacious great speaker. I tried a bunch of Marshall's and appreciated them. I own the Stanmore and the Emberton. When the Flex got rave reviews, I waited for it to come to India before I could buy..Now 40 days have passed and here are my findings... Build Quality - Outstanding, rugged, beautiful, compact, cute to behold. One small demerit is I am having a tough time cleaning it. But it is so good that I would give the build quality a perfect 10. The buttons are so cushy to touch and overall I love it, love it. Sound Quality - This is adequately loud for 90% of settings unless you have a gathering of 20 people. For most upto 8-10 people gathering this is punchy. The sound is so much better than the other Bose speakers that I have run into lately. I listen to a lot of Punjabi, house, Deep house, electronic, Indie, Sufi, Jazz, Podcasts, Cricket, Youtube Videos and this is absolutely brilliant. For most of it, it sounds better than even my Revolve Plus which is my favourite speaker of all time. The sound is so pleasing. It makes the Emberton sound thick and corny. 10/10 Value - yes this costs Rs 16,000 but it is totally worth it as it connects easily. Has a good 8-10 hour battery life. Lovely build quality. Overall a very loveable speaker. I recommend this to any one who has a JBL, the difference between this and a charge 5 is the difference beween an iphone 13 pro max and a Samsung A series phone. The sound quality is rich and premium. There is that thump in the base. The thump neither washes out other frequencies nor becomes artificial. Even at lower volumes, you can feel that thump. The loudness is also good and can easily fill a drawing hall. There is no distortion until 90% of volume. If you nitpick, you can feel a small distortion at full volume. The build is strong and sturdy. The materials promise good durability. But the placement of buttons and its feel doesn’t felt premium. Even though Bluetooth is of older version, I didn’t find any connectivity issues. It automatically connects to my two devices simultaneously within 0.5 seconds of turning on. I really liked it. Bose connect app is useless unless you’re pairing two of them for a stereo experience. The app also didn’t feel comfortable to use. But you can use it to verify that your speaker is original. It even shows the date of manufacturing in the app. The battery life is also good. Has lasted me around 10 hrs in 60% volume. Overall I cannot say that it’s a value for money speaker, but it’s a product which make you forget value for money. It’s great to use inside your home and is super portable to carry for your trip. Overall I liked it very much.

Everything it advertising is true and is worth it! Looks and feels beautiful with sturdy build. Powerful and warm room filling sound.

I am writing this review after many months of use. Its the best speaker I ever owned. The car I own, comes with the same brand of speaker and whenever I play music music either in my car or at home in this speaker, I can't differentiate between the quality of sound.

Awesome sound quality. Great battery life. Lasts almost for 12 hrs on a full charge. Worth buying during festival sale.

Long-term review (22 months): Pros: The sound performance is exactly as advertised. Mind-blowing low end with superb clarity in the mids and highs. Absolutely no complaints there. Cons: This is where Bose really broke my heart. The battery suddenly stopped holding charge, despite very light usage. Modern lithium batteries shouldn’t die this early. The saddest part is that Bose says this model is not repairable. They refused service outright and, to add salt to the wound, only offered a 15% discount on a new Bose product (since my unit was past the 1-year warranty). For a device that costs around ₹15,000, making it unrepairable—even for a simple battery issue—feels like a betrayal of the brand’s reputation and legacy of quality. This was my first Bose product, and I’m disappointed to say I no longer feel confident investing in their products in the future. TL;DR Sound quality: 5/5 Build quality: 4/5 Battery longevity: 0/5

Sonido Bosé!!!

Alırken gelene kadar "çok mu para verdim, acaba tek hoparlör ile ne kadar sesi çıkar, x markası mı alsaydım??" diye çok düşündüm. Ürün gelince bütün sorularım cevap buldu. Öncelikle kötü yanlarından bahsedeyim: Bluetooth 5 ve üzeri bir sürüm kullanmasını çok isterdim. Evet içindeki kodek çözücüler başarılı ve şarkıları çok net ve temiz duyabiliyorum ama gecikme kendini ele veriyor malesef. Herhangi bir video izlerken veya müzik dinlerken yani playback yaparken çok belli etmiyor ama bildirim gelince veya şarkı değiştirirken ne kadar çok gecikme olduğu anlaşılıyor. Bunun dışında bu ürün içeride kullanmak üzere tasarlanmış diyebilirim. Dışarıda da kullanılabilir ama eğer sık sık dışarıda kullanacaksanız tavsiye edemeyeceğim. Bu hoparlörde malesef tweeter veya bir subwoofer yok. Tek bir hoparlör ile çok iyi bir mühendislik ile tüm sesler alınmaya çalışılmış ve başarılı da olmuşlar. Müzik dinlerken zevk ve haz alıyorsunuz kesinlikle. Diğer Bluetooth hoparlörlerde olduğu gibi sesi arttırınca tizler yükselip basslar arkada kalıyor fakat bunun diğerlerine nazaran daha az olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Son olarak ürünün malzeme kalitesi gayet güzel. Uygulaması bulunuyor fakat ekolayzır gibi çeşitli ayarlar yok.

Daha önce Sony, Harman Kardon, Bang & Olufsen JBL ve birsürü daha markanın bluetooth speaker'ını denedim. Özel ilgi alanım olduğu için sürekli daha iyisi arayışındayım :) Bundan önce en tatmin eden Harman Kardon oldu ama iki tanesi de 1-2 sene içinde bozuldu bass'lar cızırdamaya başladı o yüzden maalesef Harman Kardon markasını eledim artık. B&O küçük olanların ses kalitesi muazzam ama ses birazcık açılınca bass çok yetersiz kalıyor, kısık seslerde çok daha iyi performans veriyor. Sony ve JBL'i bu lige sokmuyorum bile karşılaştırmaya değmeyecek kadar kötülerdi. Neyse konuya dönersek, öncelikle hoparlörün gerçek ses kalitesinin ortaya çıkması için bir süre dinlemek gerekiyor, ses başlarda bir tık metalik ve daha derinliksiz olabiliyor ama 1 ay içinde gerçek performansını buluyor. İlk testlerime göre hem kısık hem de yüksek seste performansı oldukça tatmin edici. Çok büyük olmayan evinizde çok kalabalık olmayan partilerinizde bile işinizi görecektir. Şimdilik çok memnun kaldım, bu boyutta bir hoparlörden daha kaliteli ses beklentim zaten yok. Daha iyisi gelene kadar benim için en iyisi budur :) Edit: 2 yıla yakındır kullanıyorum bir tanesini arkadaşım çok beğendi ona hediye ettim, biri çalındı bu 3. ve bahçede sulamanın altında mı kalmadı, defalarca 1 masaların üstlerinden yere mi düşmedi. Bana mısın demiyor. Gerçekten sesinin yanında sağlamlığı da takdire şayan. Ayrıca duayen bir müzisyen olan yan komşumla bu ürün sayesinde samimi olduk, bahçede müzik dinlerken “nereden çalıyorsun ne kadar temiz basları” diyerek yanıma geldi ve arkadaş olduk. 3 ev yanımdaki müzisyen komşumu bile sesinin temizliği etkiledi o kadar diyeyim.
