Arrived early and very pleased with the radio, loads of channels, most of which are crystal clear. Sound is pretty good too, and is well worth the money, very easy to use and tune into the radio stations.

I was initially after a radio with a 3.5mm AUX socket, but I ordered this one by mistake and as it turns out, worth the money. Good and full sound, solid and weighty construction and lots of sweet features. Looks good, too.

Somewhat smaller than I anticipated and the casing much lighter in weight than I thought it would be. Decent sound from speakers -they don't sound too tinny, but they're small, so not going to sound like Jansen studio speakers anyway. The volume and tuning dials are very easy to use, they don't wobble on their spindles and are responsive to turning. The smaller dials are wobbly on their spindles and don't seem particularly robust; this could do with improvement. Battery compartment properly soldered and accepts standard D batteries with secure tension and fitting, and the radio does run on batteries. Carry handle works and feels tight in the housing. The antenna works and pivots easily and well, but isn't very robust, so needs handling with care. Cord could have been 20cm or so longer, but it's adequate and well made. I would recommend this radio overall, but think the price point is a bit high (close to £50 at time of purchase) because the casing isn't very strong and the 2 smaller dials feel flimsy.
