Why are these more expensive than the cans at Walmart? $5.62/4.5oz is $1.25...bags are cheaper packaging shouldn’t it be the other way around??

Probably because it's costs more to ship this bigger bag and thus the Amazon fulfillment fees are more.

what does 12/8 ounce mean

12.8 ounces is equivalent to 0.8 pounds

Is this price for 12 eight ounce packets of nuts?

Aloha! The price listed is for one 8oz bag of Honey Roasted Macadamias. We will update the description to avoid any further confusion. Thank you for helping us be better.

Is this 12 8 ounce packets of nuts, totalling 96 ounces? Why are the salted nuts twice as expensive as unsalted dryroasted?

Are you paying for the salt? You also pay for the quality.
