Greenwave Dirty Electricity Filter Kit - For Up To 2 Rooms and 250 Sq Ft

Thought I'd give these a try... put one on my fridge and one on my freezer. I no longer hear either of them running... so, my guess is their doing what there suppose ta do.. won't really know for sure till the electric bills start coming in..

It's a gimmick! You can't just reduce dirty electricity at certain locations because the electrical lines all works in balance. So I bought more trying to correct the problem but that didn't work either. It may reduce dirty electricity at one outlet but then it just pushes it down the line making the overall dirty electricity in the house even worse. Even though the dirty electricity inside the wall outlet is reduced at that one place, I noticed they create an EMF around them, which I thought they were trying to reduce? What happens is that it's trying to absorb the dirty electricity from one outlet but it just pushes the problem further down the line creating a worse problem! It totally upsets the electric field in the house. Maybe a single filter at your fuse box? But these made things much worse, avoid at all costs!

I have an AC power line noise meter from Entec which allows you to hear interference when you plug it into the wall socket. The worst socket in the house gives a reading of 120mV and I can hear voices talking on a local radio station (not paranoid, others hear it too). I plus in this device and the reading goes to zero mV and no sound at all. I also have the iFi AC iPurifier and when I plug that in, the reading increases by 10x. FYI, the reason I got this product is to stop switched mode power supplies from affecting sound quality on the hi-fi. This product really works.

I originally bought some of these off of eBay to test out. I put a few in my great room, kitchen, and my bedroom. At the time, I did not have a meter, but my house seemed quiter, I slept better, and my refridgerator is also noticeably quieter. My first impression is that these really seem to work. Anyway, I recently bought a different meter which measures magnetic fields and dirty electricity. These seem to cut down on the dirty electricity and do not generate large magnetic fields. I am comfortable putting them close to where I sit and sleep as my meter is not picking harmful magnetic or electrical fields more than a few inches from my filters. I am pretty happy so far. I decided to buy a few more filters for my house. I also ordered Greenwaves dirty electricity meter as I think that might be more accurate than my other meter Edit: My Greenwave meter just arrived today. I tested a few of my outlets. I was literally getting audio from an AM radio station playing through the speaker on my meter on a few outlets. The audio was clear as day. I am going to venture a wild guess and say I had some line noise. As soon as I plugged in a Greenwave filter, the audio stopped. My meter dropped the amount of of dirty electricity from around 225 to around 20 mv. I would definitely say they work. I ordered even more filters as I need a few more for my house.

I bought about 12 or so of these Greenwave Filters in the past year. I also bought the Greenwave EMI filter to measure the noise. The meter and the filters do work. The meter along with the filters are a great marketing pair for the company because if you start measuring with the meter you most likely will purchase more filters to keep lowering the measurement. They do work BUT as another reviewer stated they do consume power. I have verified his measurement and each filter will pull about 1.2 amps (or about 140 watts) each and the manufacturer does not mention this in the literature! Just be aware that they will absolutely cost you more money on your electric bill. Because the capacitors change the phase angle of current to voltage, a watt meter won't accurately show this. Look at the VA measurement and especially the current and you will see the same. I have also found that the performance is dependent on where you locate them. I have found that they work best at the end of the circuit but results may vary. Also some greatly reduce the noise and some don't depending on where they are located. I have cut back to about 6 filters at strategically placed locations but this is about 850-875 watts continuously 24 hours at day, 7 days a week and it will show up on my electric bill. Is it worth it?...maybe if you are willing to pay the cost.

This thing actually did reduce the audible noise through speakers of my DAC by having a cheap switcher for another product only when the cheap wall wort was plugged directly into it. Now I hope to remove it as I just got a linear supply to power everything with a switcher in my cabinet fixing the problem at the source. Magic? No. Great as claimed? Sort of. Still, it did work where my expensive Monster Cable power filter did not. If you hear any grunge, give it a try.

These 2 Greenwave Dirty Electricity Filters were the very first ones I ordered....along with the Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter to test how the filters were doing their job. They were so amazing that I ordered 8 more. They even took care of filtering the outlets nearby from dirty electricity that didn't have any filters in them. One outlet in the basement next to the breaker box (where the main line enters the house) had the worst dirty electricity at 1380 mV. Once I inserted the filter, the reading on the meter REDUCED TO 69 mV. Wow!!!! I have such GREAT PEACE OF MIND knowing NOW that my body's EMI pollution has been GREATLY REDUCED BY THESE FILTERS. And.....Greenwave states the filters' proposed lifespan is 22.8 years!!!!

I purchases these to remove the electrical noise from the power socket my audio equipment is plugged into and all I have to say is WOW! I can’t believe these work so well to remove the electrical noise from my utility so I have clean power for my audio devices. There are devices out there that cost 10x what these do and they do only a compatible job. I think the makers of this device should market them to Audiophiles because I guarantee you they would sell a ton of them. Thanks Greenwave!
