These fit a standard Schraeder valve stem, used on all cars and light trucks sold in America and probably other countries. They do not fit the narrower Presta valve stem, used on some high-end bicycles. My old clamp (30-year old Sears inflator) would leak around the edges, and even pop off my bicycle tire (80 psi). I had to hold the the clamp on, and align it correctly. This replacement clamp fits tightly, and is a bit hard to clamp down. But once on I see that my tires fill faster, as there are no leaks. I took one star off for durability (not the heavy metal construction of the old clamp), and one for Ease of Use. That's because I don't like the bulky, awkward hose clamp they provide for attachment to the inflator hose. I wish there were some way to use a crimp ring like the original had. Update 08/04/2023 If you have a pex cinch tool you can replace that bulky hose clamp with a 3/8 “ pex cinch clamp. No leaks when tested on my bike at 80 psi. See picture.

Somehow I lost the lever that locks the chuck onto the valve. I've had this Black and Decker Air Station since the 90's and it has been a great little pump. SO I needed a new chuck and got 3 in this package. I used the all metal and plastic one. I cut off the old chuck and used the supplied clamp and now my air station is working again. Great value you get 3 chucks for varying PSI. I would recommend.

They fit good and work well, only thing is that they are a bit hard to close.

I have an electric Craftsman compressor that was purchased many years ago. The hose end eventually failed as it wasn't attaching to the valve stem and/or depressing the Schrader valve, and as such, it kept popping off. It's a simple fix, though as all you need to do is cut the line and insert one of these hose ends. The only thing that I would improve is to include crimp style clamps with the screw type hose clamps. I realize that a crimp tool would be needed, but with the hose diameter being so small, much of the screw type hose clamp is exposed. Your fingers have a tendency to find and dig into the hose clamp end. Other than that, you can't beat what's provided and they seem sturdy.

Thought I was going to have to replace my hand pump since the plastic plunger inside the chuck would no longer press in the valve stem when clamped on the tube. Since these replacement chucks came in a 3-pack I gambled that at least one might work. As it turned out all three check out as functional and my pump is back in business. That gives me a couple spares to have on hand if (when?) the first one wears out. I only use the pump occasionally to check/adjust pressure in my ATV tires. Since the tires only run at about 4psi it's a lot easier to just grab the hand pump if I need to add a little air. These aren't the highest quality items but my pump isn't the highest quality either and these chucks meet my needs just fine. The value is there for the price.

A needle pin inflator was used in the chuck of my decades old Interdynamics TruckAir 300 compressor to inflate a ball. The Harbor Freight needle pin inflator base got stuck in the chuck and would not come out without destroying the chuck. Using pliers pulled the needle from the base. The LUMITECO 1/4" replacement chuck fit perfectly in the compressor's air hose, and rotating the hose clamp around got it out of the way. Locking it on to the tire's air valve was smooth, but pulling it off was a little tricky. I attribute that to the rubber inside the chuck being new, whereas the rubber in the old chuck was worn from years of use. The corner of the opening for the lever and the two side pins were sharp, but the use of a file took care of that. The replacement chuck will give my compressor another 20+ years of service, as long as I stay away from Harbor Freight needle pin inflators. Sorry, HF. I read the reviews for this compressor on amazon and was surprised by all the negative ones. Mine has given me over twenty years of good service. One commenter said the 12v plug fell apart in his hand. The first thing I did when I got the compressor in 2003 was to replace the admittedly cheap factory plug with a marine-grade 12v plug from Marine West, and have never looked back.

The chuck was easy to install on my Black & Decker Air Station. But, not sure if the ones that I received were defective but they are hard to remove from valve stems. The rubber seal seems to be too to tight as I have to remove it with force off the valve stem causing air to leak out.

My air pump is 10 - 12 years old and the clamping mechanism in its chuck no longer sealed properly. It leaked so badly that the air pump could barely increase the pressure in my car's tires. I cut the old chuck off the end of the air hose and installed one of the Lumiteco replacement chucks into the open end of the air hose and then secured it with one of the two included circular compression clamps. It worked perfectly with absolutely no leakage when I use my air pump now.
