5 days later and one finger is peeling and feels like it’s not as hard/ kind of jelly-like. Any tips for me?

Ive noticed mine only last a week also. I think maybe its just the polish brand? What Im trying to do is make it smooth.. nothing to lift like towards the cuticles. As for the "jelly" feeling- sounds weird but what are you doing barehanded? Like washing dishes? Dish soap especially Dawn will break down gel polish and acrylics as well. A friend who did nails told me that

Is the base coat like the glue? and if so does it actually last?

Its not like glue but it is as hard as nails

What are the directions? How many coats? How many times in the light? For how long?

As for number of coats, I would say two or more depending upon how thick you make each coat. For how long, it doesn’t take long if you use light coatings. A minute is usually enough. Just depends. Look at YouTube videos for more information.
