Works better than expected. The cord is good quality and the metal clip on the back hasn't bent or broken in a full 12 hr shift a day for a whole week. Also the item itself may seem large when you get it but it's worth the length of the cord. I've bought and used many others that may have been smaller but being over 6ft tall means I gotta get my blade (or whatever you're holding) to a comfortable height AND distance and I haven't been able to do that whith ANY other product. Very satisfied with my purchase!

I bought the double pack of these retractable badge holders around 4 years ago. I had gone through 5 or 6 fairly expensive ones from Walmart before deciding to buy these. I am still on #1 of 2! The 2nd one will be great when/if I ever need it. The plastic is worn a little bit on the sides of the actual piece that holds your badge, but the material is reinforced with some kind of (fabric?) material, so it's barely notable. The metal button that you fasten can get loose with time (as in, years). If that happens, just grab a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch the metal prongs tight again, the part that clasps the button. The metal body has held up well, the cable is a champ, and reinforced with plastic housing. I use this thing probably 50 times in a day, every day, for 40 hours a week. Absolutely no complaints - it's rare that I can tip my hat to a solid product anymore.

Used for a few months, worked great overall, very strong cable pull. But I dropped it twice on the warehouse concrete floor within the span of a minute, and it broke apart at the hard plastic seam, uncoiling the spring as well. Annoying but not too hard to fix with superglue. Only had a card case on it to begin with, so it probably just hit the floor at a bad angle

This keychain is the real deal. Most badge reels start to sag the second you add anything heavier than a single ID, but this one actually holds up. ​I have two ID holders and a set of keys attached to it, and it stays retracted perfectly without dropping. The 31.5" steel cord feels incredibly durable and smooth when pulled. It's a great product that feels like it’s built to last. I would definitely buy this again!

Before these I had a key caddy that was old and falling apart. I ordered this needing a replacement so I don't make the mistake of leaving my key in my apartment and having to awkwardly go to my landlord to ask him to unlock it. I didn't realize this was a 2 pack but now if something happens to the one I've got right now. I have a spare...and about 8 months later no such issue has occurred. It's of great quality. Very sleek modern design. Fits snuggly on to my belt and hasn't come off. Makes me feel very secured and don't have the fear of it falling off and unlike my old one it's more smaller and simple. And it's a good price. I'd recommend. I've only had issues cause one time I forgot to put on my belt when I went grocery shopping and...had to call my landlord. Always remember to put this on your belt.

Overall not bad. The clip is easy to slide over your belt and it's sturdy, but gentle enough that it's not ruining my belt like the previous one I owned. The retractable cord is not super responsive. Worked fine the first couple weeks but now it gets stuck a lot and won't retract all the way. If I pull them out again and let it retract it usually works the second time. Not bad for the price but retraction mechanism could use some work. Update: Didn't last 6 months. These did not old up to daily use. I went through both units in 6 months. Retraction mechanism broke completely each time.

Love it for work! Fit so good, the weight is comfortable, quality is really good.

I have to have a card at work for scanning through security gates and the like, and the work-issued lanyard was awful. Bought this as a replacement, and I could ask for more. The plastic body feels sturdy, and the retraction has a fair bit of force to it. The clasp fits perfectly on my belt - although it may not fit so well on wider belts, so do be careful. One thing I didn’t notice, is that it includes a loop to keep keys on! Really solid product, I’d definitely get another.
