The plastic is worn a little bit on the sides of the actual piece that holds your badge, but the material is reinforced with some kind of (fabric?) material, so it's barely notable. The metal button that you fasten can get loose with time (as in, years). If that happens, just grab a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch the metal prongs tight again, the part that clasps the button.The metal body has held up well, the cable is a champ, and reinforced with plastic housing. I use this thing probably 50 times in a day, every day, for 40 hours a week.
