Actually in the ancient fern family, Dwarf Horsetail has a grass like apperance and is the least invasive species of Scouring Rush. The slender evergreen stems are hollow and jointed. Thick clumps of stems are topped with captivating spore-bearing caps. We have grown fond of this horsetail for bog and water garden combinations. Unlike it's big brothers it's 6-12" always likes to stand tall and and not bend over as much. Height: 6-12" Zone 2-8. One Gallon Plants.
