Fished a lot of rocks and fast water and had no obvious damage to my line on the contact end. Once I figured how much to put on a spinning reel spool I really liked it. Don't try to fill your spool, leave a good lip of the spool showing. My Pflueger President 40 with 150 yds of 20 lb leaves about 1/8 inch head room on the spool. This seems perfect. The braid comes off the spool too fast if you fill it too full and you will have a big problem with wind knots. Not fun, I did it at first and learned. I use very little mono now. As I need to replace I will be using Power Pro braid. Get a good cutter to make your life easier. I am using Gerber Neat Freaks and cant be happier. The Power Pro box here is for 50-lb. braid and it says that is the same size as 12-lb mono.
