3000 mAh Wii U Gamepad Battery - LVL99Gear's Longest Lasting Rechargeable Battery for Nintendo Wii U Gamepad

Got to rate it 2 stars. I think my shipment came in with a short in one of the cords attached to the plug (I think its the black one). I was able to kind of manipulate it so when it's put in the game pad it maintains a charge but either way my first impressions are NOT very good. Oh and for an added bonus, this battery will NOT come charged. I wish people in these comments mentioned anything about that because it seems like there's a lot of negative reviews but no one has any good information, here's your information.1. -Mine came in at 3000mAh according to the back as promised.2. -It was NOT charged so those of you saying it came in not working, plug it in your gamepad and shut up for about 2 hours then test and see if it would work. Mine was able to hold a charge without being plugged into the gamepad after 30mins - an hour. I still need to test it and see how long it lasts. I will time it and update this post on how long, then give you guys a review update after two months of use.3. -The screwdriver is GARBAGE. Don't waste your time with it for this. It's not going to fit as the gamepad screws on the back are simply too small for this fat piece of metal and yet the screw driver is too short to give you any good leverage when unscrewing. A bad design flaw. A sharp knife or a tiny needle shaped phillips head would do the trick.4. -There is NO instructions on how to install the battery and theres misinformation on the back of the case saying that this battery is for the Wii U pro controller. FAIL.I'll check back and see how long the charge lasts as soon as I get home, but with the combination of damage to the product, no useful instructions (theres censored profanity as well though on the back if that wets your whistle), and useless additional tool, I can't reccomend this to anyone. Not even for the low price. just buy the original battery pack from Nintendo.

I noticed that the battery in my Gamepad seemed to be on it's last legs, so I got this one, along with new charging equipment (I wish I could replace the charging jack on the Gamepad). So far, it's measuring up to my expectation, I've only nearly run out of power once, and that was because I forgot to plug in a charger during a day of playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and drawing on Art Academy.Now, this battery does come with a screwdriver. While the tip was the correct size, the screws on my Gamepad were shockingly tight! I couldn't get enough leverage with the included screwdriver to loosen the screws, so I wound up using one of my precision screwdrivers to remove the screws. The battery has tabs that line up with the stock battery tabs, so you just have to plug the battery in, and put it into the compartment, lining up the tabs.So, if you need a new battery for your gamepad, or want a capacity upgrade, this is it. You just might want to have a longer screwdriver on hand in case the tiny included one is inadequate to loosen the screws.

This item just doesn't work right. I've given it time and realize that I probably gave it more time than it deserves just to be sure. Out old battery would die basically as soon as you unplugged the Wii U gamepad, so I had to replace it. I thought this sounded great, basically doubling the original batteries capacity.The first thing I did was install the battery and plug it in over night. I used it the next day, and after only about an hour or so the battery light was blinking red, as if it was about to die. I decided it might need full empty/fill cycles before the Wii U recognizes its full or something like that. Basically I was just trying to rationalize away the bad product.So now I'm using it mostly plugged in because it dies pretty quickly when unplugged, but even that is super annoying because when it's plugged in it blinks the amber light, which I'm not even entirely sure what is indicating. I unplug it and plug it back in sometimes and the blinking stops for a while.Do NOT get this battery. I should have known it was too good to be true and just bought a better branded battery. It probably won't work to your expectations, and definitely doesn't work even as good as the original battery, much less one with double the capacity.I don't think I've ever left a one star review before, as usually I can find something redeeming about a product, but if I could go into negative stars about this product I would. I'm really upset about it because my mother spends a lot of time on the Wii U and now she thinks everything I buy on here must be a dud.

So far so good. I've had a week. This batter is twice as big (yes, it fits) as the original. Original is 1500 mAh, this is 3000!! :)My daughter watches Netflix on this thing for hours a day, and I haven't seen any issues. Holds a charge great, so far. I'll update in a few months if I notice the charge start to get worse.On a side note, I bought our Wii U 10 months ago. I couldn't believe the OME battery stopped holding a charge after that little of a time.EDIT 9/30/15 - after a few weeks of use, I can see that it won't fully charge anymore. It stops charging between 2 and 3 of 4 bars. It is only lasting about as long as the original. At this point, I will continue to use, but it's nothing special and I'd probably try another battery if I had to get one.

This is exactly what I needed. We needed to replace the battery in our Wii U unit and this allowed us to do so. It is a high quality rechargeable battery, and long lasting too! There isn't actually much to say here other than that I am glad I got this one, save yourself some money and get it here instead of buying name brand. This one has overcharge protection so that it won't be damaged from leaving it on the charger too long and it lets me play all the silly nintendo games I want :-)I received this product as a sample in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
