What is the max run time for this pump before it needs to cooldown?

There is nothing specified. Some pumps say 20 minutes. Tbh, as long as the water in which it is submerged is cold less than 25c, I would think it could be run almost independently. Water has heat removal properties in excess of 20 times that of air, so any heat generated will be easily removed. The power absorbed is reasonably low, so heat build up in the motor will be minimal.

Does it have a flow switch?

No one setting only, works well for us Hooked to pipe then tap with microswitch

Which wire is positive which is negative I have 3 wires brown yellow and blue

Brown is live and blue neutral, dont remember using yellow as only two wite to connect into.

This has three wires and I am wiring to a 2wire 12volt system, what do I do with the earth wire? Can I just wire it in with the negative?

I only used the two wires, I first tested it on caravan battery first, then cut back spare wire. I think the 3rd wire maybe for faster flush. But happy when first tested with the two I chosen. By the way it's safe to use.
