5QT Organic Vermiculite Granules for Plants and Gardening

I've been using this stuff for growing mushrooms for years. Excellent quality and a very reasonable price.

This is the best vermiculite I have ever used since it is a darker color than others I have tried. It is also a small size and the darker color is much more attractive since it blends in better with the color of the soil

the packaging was not good. it comes in a box that arrived damaged at two corners. Then unfortunately I opened the box where it was most damaged and happened to cut the BOTTOM of the box. There is no indication that there is a TOP and a BOTTOM. I then pulled the bag in the box thinking it would lift everything out of the box... but NOPE!! the bag came out by itself, leaving the vermiculite in the BOX. Apparently the top of the bag (which is now at the bottom of my box) was not tied, so the bag when pulled from its bottom came out by itself! As for the product. It works for me. the vermiculite granules are smaller than is advertised in the pics but I'm ok with it.

The product itself is fine, but why would you not have sealed the bag or tie up the bag before shipping out? When I open up the package they were already stuff that were spelled out and I lost a few cups of this out of the bag.

Inexpensive for the volume. Mixed easily with the soil of my garden. Thank you!

Very expensive for what you get. I have gotten vermiculite that was for Cat litter Box that was about the same grade. I can get verv small particle size at Lowes for a 1/3 the price. I use it for seed germination with controled nutrint (16-16-16) and no bugs.
