All images are water kefir.** A: I do use them on Milk Kefir jars sometimes, but the design lends itself to Water Kefir better as the holes are pretty small on top, and thicker kefir will not strain as well. But the top is functional otherwise. **Q: Does anyone actually strain milk kefir through the part with holes and then add more milk? I did not realize these were really for water kefir.** A: I did not realize they were for water either. Do not buy for milk kefir as you will waste a lot. **Q: Will I need to burp water Kefir with these tops?** A: Hi there - Thank you for your helpful question! No, with our Kefir Caps, burping is not required. Thanks again! **Q: Will this fit my 32 oz mason jar for making milk kefir?** A: Hi there - Thank you for your helpful question. In the North America, standard-size Mason jars are made of soda-lime glass and come in two sizes: regular mouth, 2 3⁄8 in (60 mm) inner and 2 3⁄4 in (70 mm) outer diameter, and wide mouth, 3 in (76 mm) inner and 3 3⁄8 in (86 mm) outer diameter, versions.
