This is a gorgeous clock, and the wooden frame looks very professional with a nice, rounded shape. The numbers are large and easy to read and there's the added bonus of a light for use during the night. I needed something that could be switched off by a button the top of the clock, which this one has, and then you can either leave it for 5 minute snoozes or simply switch off on the back. It keeps excellent time (use a carbon battery) and the alarm isn't too strident when it first rings - although I understand it gets louder if you leave it! An excellent product.

This looks so much nicer than the pictures, mother in law was very pleased with the light up feature and clear display.

Positives first: The wooden case is precision milled to the point that it doesn't actually look like real wood, which is impressive. Mine has a tiny blemish on the front. It's enough to be irritating, but not enough to return it. The mechanism is properly silent, unlike other 'silent' clocks I've had. No hum or buzz. That's great. The face and hands are easy to see. The light works well. It's easy to set. Negatives: The wood case is literally bare wood, so oily finger prints soak in and mark it. Being an analogue alarm it needs to be set manually each day. This is done with a tiny switch on the back. The switch would benefit from being a bit bigger/easier to find. Overall, it's a really nice quality clock with a truly silent mechanism.

I have looked and looked for a truly quiet clock. This is it. No whirring -– of course no ticking –– just a very faint hardly discernible sound that I can only detect by holding it close to my ear. And it looks beautiful too.

Small bedside alarm which is silent- no ticking noise. It looks easy to set the alarm which I haven't needed to set yet. It was delivered on time & so far I am pleased with it. It needs an AA Zinc Carbon Battery to operate. After 2 months, the night light stopped working. I replaced the battery with a new one. Still no light. It must be a broken light bulb. However there is no access to the back of the alarm clock to replace a bulb. I have returned the alarm clock, which is a shame as I really liked the clock. I now need to look for a replacement.

Perfect just what I wanted.

Well it's worked fine for one night so far. The mystery is the nonsense around requiring a "carbon" battery rather than an alkaline one. Surely an AA battery is an AA battery? They provide 1.5 volts at the terminals and that is that. I think it's an excuse because the clocks are so cheap and obviously will have a high failure rate. So only one star because the supplier is clearly providing an excuse ahead of time to not have to give a refund. Edit - by the second morning it was running slow. Returned for refund. Don't bother buying.

Very nice, well-sized table clock. The light is warm and non-invasive if it needs to be read during the night. It's perfectly silent due to a non-ticking movement. The design is nice and warm, nothing special but good for its job. Works perfectly fine with rechargeable batteries. Note: I can't review the alarm as I don't and won't use it.
