Baby Wrap Carrier Ring Sling-Baby Carrier-Extra Soft Turkish Cotton Muslin Baby Slings Baby Shower Gift Grey&Rose

This is my second ring sling. My first is made from regular woven cotton and has two-inch rings. This ring sling is made from Turkish cotton muslin and has three-inch rings. This sling is SO much more comfortable than my first — for me and for my wee one. The fabric is very soft. And beautiful. It hugs my and my baby’s contours better and feels nice on my skin (I have sensitive skin, and therefore cannot stand uncomfortable fabrics!). I love that it the inner layer of fabric is different color—which helps with getting it all set up with baby because you can see which side you’re working with (helps to avoid twisting). It’s great for carrying baby around, but also nice to use as a light blanket. It has a small pocket on the end of one of the tails that fits my phone nicely. Note: the tag on the sling and in the product information it comes with says to only use this carrier with children weighing between 8 and 15 pounds. That seemed odd to me so I wrote the company to double check. They said it was absolutely a misprint and should say 8 to 35lbs. Said they’ll work on getting that fixed. I do wish the tag (washing info, etc) wasn’t plastic— you know what I’m talking about, sort of fabric-like but clearly plastic tag? Yea. Yuck. I’m trying to get away from using plastic and this does not fit with that goal. (And it’s a big tag!). Would be so simple for them to use a little piece of cotton fabric instead. Maybe they will in the future.

I was hesitant to try this sling because it was a new product and the reviews seemed too good to be true. For the record this is the only sling I own so I can’t compare to other brands. What I like about this one is the material, which has been soft from day 1 and keeps my baby cool in this hot summer but still cozy. She sleeps in it in my arms. It’s easy to adjust and feels sturdy when you have it properly tightened. I’ve breastfed in it in public and it makes a great nursing cover. The colors are also soft and slightly feminine. My only complaint is that sometimes the material folds over in the ring but I don’t have a problem with tightening it when it does that. I don’t carry my baby for long distances in this but mostly use it to get her to nap so I can have hands free to work on the computer, drink tea in a coffee shop, make lunch, and nap or dance with her in my arms without holding all the weight. She naps much longer in this than she will in her crib. I only wish I had bought this before she was born. I bought a KTan and I still can’t get her to go into it without crying.

Love the quality of the muslin fabric, however hated that it kept sliding off the ring. Couldn’t really be mobile without having to constantly readjust for my baby’s safety.

I was hoping this would be softer material based on the description. It was pretty rough and my baby has bad eczema and didn’t like the material. I also was hoping this would be easier for nursing and the material that came with it said wearing in a ring sling and feeding in a ring sling are different skills and I found that to be very true. I could get her comfortably seated but none of the nursing positions worked for us so that combined with the material made this a return for us. However if you are well versed in ring slings and your babies skin isn’t quite as sensitive this seemed pretty decent, and had cute colors.

I bought this as a gift …the mom to be was thrilled to get this. It is fully adjustable and is very sturdy.
