**Q: I don't suppose this could be used to light a tobacco pipe? Or is it too heavy duty?**
A: I don't smoke pipes but do own this lighter and think it may be too strong, it gets really hot and depending on the pipe material could even melt it..but for the tobacco I think it would burn it too much too fast to enjoy it. I may be wrong about that since I don't smoke tobacco pipes, but it certainly is too strong to use to light cigarettes with. It's a great lighter to start fires with which is what I use it for.

**Q: What would be the butane alternative for california? amazon does not ship butane fuel to california.**
A: There is no alternative fuel you can use that I know of, but you can pick up Butane in hardware stores and also in some grocery stores. It may be that butane is restricted to ground shipping only in CA, which Amazon doesn't allow you to specify, so if you must order it online you can look for a retailer that offers ground shipping.

A: I was surprised to find out that unlike the many other torches I've purchased anywhere, this one is FANTASTIC!!!
I was even hesitant to ever try purchasing another one ever again but, so glad I took one last chance.

Someone should frickin' kiss this manufacturer for this one! Easy to handle, light weight, nice, clean design and handling and you won't go through fuel like crazy.
