When I first brought this wire there was a plastic coating on it and it scratched easily, but not anymore. I guess they listened to customer feedback and have improved the product. The gold is very bright and beautiful. I love the quality I’m sticking to this brand for a while to come. Please note that this comes in 2 shades of gold the kc gold which matches most finds and hooks on the market and this one which is a more yellower brighter gold perfect if you make your own findings & hooks to match.

Wire is beautiful. Thickness is dead on as described and stiff enough to hold it's shape once bend, but bendable enough to shape without hurting hands or fingers. Has been very durable, but easy to straighten out. As far as I have been able to tell, the length provided in the description and size of the wire have been accurate. Will definitely buy again when this roll runs out

This wire is easy to bend into a variety of shapes using jewelry making pliers. The color remains a shining silver, not tarnishing over time. The core of the wire is copper and is visible at the ends, so make sure to bend in the ends of the cord to hide the copper and the core's ultimate oxidization. The wire is great for costume jewelry, practice wire wrapping, making ear-cuffs, and other crafts. I recommend it as a learning material to practice the craft before switching to sterling silver wire or as a way of making jewelry less expensive.
