Beautifully written children's story book. Each story revolves around an endangered species of India. It is enlightening and thought provoking too. The book will definitely make a child want to learn more about animals and the importance of their conservation.

The magic of this book is in its conveying of a relevant and pressing issue through simple story telling. In her bedtime stories, Ammumma, the grandmother walks her grandchildren Kanna & Mollu through several parts of India encountering so many endangered animals.I thoroughly enjoyed reading " When the Jungle Whisper" and would highly recommend it for young readers and adults

Just finished reading Preethi Menon's whispers from the jungle. Simple and straightforward stories to sensitise children (and grown ups) on the serious need to conserve our forests and other ecosystems that are home to rare animals and birds that have the right to coexist with humans. Her smooth style of narration makes the book very easy to read. And the tastefully prepared sketches make the stories very interesting. I am sure these whispers will be heard widely to generate enough interest in the readers to help in conservation of nature in their own ways. Hope to see more such stories from Preethi.

Im a mother of 3 kids whose names also feature in the book! Zara ,Mira and Armaan!!It is heartening to see that the book highlights very current topics of illegal sand mining .. river bed farming.. extinction of certain special species... poaching etc by reaching out to an audience who in few years time may not have a green planet unless they do something about it!!Moreover the stories end with little valuable lessons that kids need to inculcate and imbibe.Thankyou for a book that scores all round 👍

I really enjoyed the book! Very informative and well written; illustrations were well done and complimented the story. Definitely a good readfor kids!
