This is what I was looking for
Over the years I’ve used different methods to cover my odd shaped spa. 2 years ago, I tried Owens Corning FOAMULAR NGX F-250 2 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. Rigid Foam Board Insulation. This stands up really well to the elements but needed a bottom. Earlier this year I used wood glue to attach many 24 in X 24 in interlocking gym floor tiles to the underside. The top needed beauty and protection. Beyond Paint worked extremely well for this project. The paint itself is very thick and concentrated. I used a spray bottle with filtered water to keep the brush and roller wet when applying. The paint went a lot further than I thought, one quart did it all, both panels. I did 4 thin coats and sanded between coats. The foam board had been outdoors and been through every weather condition and the surface had become rough. There was no way to sandpaper the foam but when it was painted with Beyond Paint, only then could I actually sand it smooth. The paint dries faster than I wanted. It has no smell and is washable if you get it on other objects. The only issue that I had with the paint was that it covered the ink and writing on the surface, but it didn’t cover the pressed in impression of the Owens Corning panther cartoon logo. Evidentially just printing the logo on the foam wasn’t enough, they had to mash it into the surface. But luckily the Fleck came to the rescue. It really hides the imperfections in the foam board. Very, very impressed. The fleck is made up of different size, very flat, crisp pieces. The smaller fleck particles rush out of the shaker first. Then the larger pieces come later. If I had any complaint about this product, it would be the fleck shaker. Luckily spraying water on the final coat of Beyond Paint helped me go back to previously flecked areas and use up the entire container of fleck. So that all of the pieces, large and small were mostly distributed evenly. After the fleck was settled and the paint was completely dry to the touch, the directions call for sanding the fleck smooth. I was afraid to do this, scratch up such a beautiful surface, and I had already sanded between paint coats. So, I decided to only use a damp cotton cloth to rub the fleck surface smooth. This worked very well for me. The Beyond Paint sealer is also a very serious product. It also has no smell and dries very quickly. I poured a little of the sealer onto the surface and spread it around very forcefully in every direction. The sealer does not wash off of anything easily at all. I was using latex gloves and when I went to take them off, I realized that 2 fingers had gotten sealer on them. I might as well have had Gorilla Glue on my fingers because it does not wash off at all. I got scared there for a minute. But luckily it came off with a lot of time and effort in the sink. I only used ¾ of the sealer container to coat both foam boards twice. I’m very happy with this project and I recommend to all. Everything came out better than I thought in a very short period of time. Waiting to see how Beyond Paint handles ice and snow. Everything in this project is available for purchase on my favorite project website Amazon.com.

Use it & buy it at a STORE.
Purchase date 1/21; expected Del 2/12, now it’s 3/16. Who knows when it will be delivered from the manufacturer. Price: better than at a store. Experience: 2 side tables, a 5 drawer dresser, a 5foot bathroom vanity in licorice. Finish: excellent, no brush strokes, no drips and no buildup in the corners. Technique: 4 inch synthetic mini roller for flat areas and stiff 2 inch paint brush for crevices. The paint is thick so a brush helps force it into nooks and crannies. Coats: 3 needed. Coverage is not as good as described. Prep: Need to do some prep. A quick sanding or liquid sandpaper helps adhesion on finished surfaces. Dry time: 2 hrs for 2nd coat is okay most of the time. Paint hardening is much much slower. The paint remains soft for a few weeks so it scratches easily until it’s completely dry. (30 days). months Would I use again: Absolutely that was why I was ordering a 2nd quart. Now I’ll go to a store to buy. Don’t want to wait 2 months for the product to arrive. …. Don’t buy online, pay more & buy at a store.

Painted laminate wood cabinets and they look great!!
We have laminate wood cabinets in our kitchen that were in good shape but due for an updated look. We had never used or heard of Beyond Paint before, but after looking into what paints would work well for laminate wood, we came across Beyond Paint and decided to give it a try. We did not want to have to mess with sanding or priming. We did a good amount of online research about the paint before starting the job. Most of what we read said do not take shortcuts with this paint or it won’t work the way that it’s intended to. We followed the instructions to a tee and it came out great for us. We used Simple Green to clean all of the surfaces and let it dry for at least 24 hrs before painting. We took apart our door/drawer faces and shelves and painted them separately. After applying the first coat, we let it dry for at least a few hours before applying the second coat (2 coats was enough). If I recall correctly, the instructions say to give it ~5 days to set, and then 30 days to fully cure. We did wait the full 5 days before turning the door/drawer faces and shelves over to paint the other side, and we used the time in between to tackle the body of the cabinets. I will say that we thought this job would go a little faster than it did, but we also followed the instructions closely with the drying times so it ended up taking a little longer (we also work full time jobs, so this was an evenings and weekends job for us). On our last set of door/drawer faces, we got impatient and installed them back in before the 5 days had passed, and the paint did chip a little in that process. It was not very much or noticeable, so we were able to easily patch it up and it still looks great. This paint is very thick and a little goes a long way, but I would recommend purchasing more than you think you need. Based on the coverage recommendations, we bought 2 quart size, but should have just went with a gallon because we ended up needing to order more. It has been about 6 months and the paint has held up great so far. We have gotten many compliments and even some people have assumed it was a professional job! We keep the cabinets clean by wiping them with either a sponge or soft cloth. All in all I would definitely recommend this paint. It is a bit pricey, but it is so easy to apply and cuts out alot of extra steps. I would recommend following the instructions as they are written and buying the brushes and rollers that Beyond Paint says to use. If you are working with a grooved surface (like a cabinet door), I would also recommend watching a couple of videos on YouTube to see how people apply the paint with the brushes and rollers. It is easy to do, but I did find that the tips from the videos were useful and made the final dried look come out nice and smooth. And definitely don’t skip the recommended drying times!!!

Amazing, Easy, Well Worth The Money
I’d seen many YouTube videos showing the application of Beyond Paint on furniture, cabinets and cupboards and even tile floors. I’ve got an almond-coloured, old tub surround in my shower. I followed the directions for proper application and got to work. I bought the white colour option. This is the only bathroom in my home, so I was really hoping that this product would work. I used a small brush for the corners and beveled areas, and used a small foam roller for the larger areas. I applied 2 coats, waiting 24 hours between each application. Application should be reasonably light. Watch a few YouTube videos - they were very helpful. This photo shows a before and after. You really can’t tell that the tub surround was painted - it just looks brand new. There are no brush or roller marks. This is not a high-gloss finish. We may apply a sealant down the line, but it looks beautiful without one. I highly recommend this product. Yes, it costs more, but it also saves a lot of effort in not having to sand the entire area. I’m no longer able to do a lot of physical work, so this was well worth the cost to me. There was minimal odor from the product and clean-up was just with water. If you’ve been on the fence, I say give this a try. You will most-likely love Beyond Paint too.

Surprisingly Easy and Effective
I was initially skeptical that this paint would actually work—it just seemed too good to be true. I wanted to refinish a small media console and a side table. My original plan was to sand everything down and stain the wood a different color. But as soon as I started on the side table, I regretted it. It was so much work to completely remove the old finish, and since I wanted a lighter look, I would have had to bleach the wood first. I quickly gave up on the sanding, bleaching, and staining process and decided to try this paint instead. I’m so glad I did! It turned out beautifully and was incredibly easy and quick to use. The coverage is excellent—even though the pieces were fairly dark, I only needed two coats. The paint dries quickly and has no noticeable odor, which was great since I had to do the project inside my apartment. A little also goes a long way. I was worried I’d need more once I saw the size of the quart, but I actually ended up with some leftover after finishing both pieces with two coats each. **Update: the paint chips very easily. I’m still happy with the results but I will need to do some touch-ups and probably get something else for a top coat to prevent chipping.

Seemed cool, but it just doesn't hold up
I bought Beyond Paint in "Buttercream" to paint a cabinet. The sales pitch sounded great, and while it seemed a bit pricey, I thought it would save time and work. It did not. The cabinet is a gently used entertainment center I converted into a "barmoire" a couple years back. It had a medium-colored wood finish that was in good shape, I just wanted to give it a fresh look. I cleaned it and set about painting it with Beyond Paint. After one coat, it really didn't look too good, so it definitely needs two coats. After the second coat, I thought it looked pretty good. I let it dry fully for 48 hours before putting the doors and drawers back into the cabinet, but imagine my horror when the slightest bump took the two coats of dry paint all the way back down to the wood! I tried scratching it gently with my fingernail in an inconspicuous spot under where a drawer would cover it, and it was the same. I emailed customer service, and they said the paint takes 30 days to cure and "During the curing period, it is recommended that the surface be left untouched [& ...] the surface is susceptible to chipping for up to the first week." They further suggested that if my item "is heavily used", I should apply a sealant. Well, my item is not heavily used, but I guess Beyond Paint is intended for museum pieces or something, not normal household items that may be touched. I put on two coats of sealant. And when I put the drawers and doors into place (paint now dry for a full week), again the slightest bump chipped the paint down to bare wood. In addition, in a couple areas, there's a weird crackly look that isn't terrible but also wasn't intended. Don't waste your money on Beyond Paint. Just use a good primer, paint and sealer; it'll be cheaper and it's tried and true. Their customer service also told me they refuse refunds, so there you go.

Great results!
I used this to paint a ceramic tile bathroom floor. Used the same brand top coat too. I let it cure for a week, then only walked on it with socks for another 3 weeks (no bare feet) to let it fully cure. Turned out beautifully!

Secret is out! Easy to paint and very fast drying
Wow this is so well kept secret paint to go over anything - wall papers and cabinets! Very easy to paint over old good condition Formica kitchen cabinet's! It is very nice textured but be warned the smell is quite strong! My cabinets look beautiful after the paint dried.. I wish there was more colors available! I mixed the off white with bright white to make a more antique white color. It was easy to mix in the color with a stick. A few swirls and I am done! I will keep you posted after I finish it off with the Beyond Paint Sealer! I am super excited! Love this DIY.

Easy furniture paint
I would highly recommend this product because it does it all. It saved me so much time and work when painting furniture. The paint applies really well so you don’t have to be an expert and the results are great. Nice even finish.
