very good replacement at a great price. You di have to remove the anchor tab from where to old tether broke off of your car. once out you will see it is folded together to anchor the button on the end of the new tether to the cap. pry it open remove old button slip new tether in, close it up and reinsert into mount hole on gas access door.

I wanted to like this item as it made my Loose Gas Cap and Check Engine light go out but from the get go it was clear this is a poorly built product. The awful tether system makes removing or installing the cap a two-handed operation because the tethering on the cap does not spin like it should. The original cap you could easily remove and install with one hand with this thing you cannot. So now after 5 months with putting up with the poorly designed tether system the cap comes completely apart in two pieces whenever it feels like it. Please please do not purchase this item and waste your hard earned money. Sadly I'm well passed the 30 day return policy. Very disappointed customer here.

This fit ok but did not clear the error code for me.

I was getting the check emmision system error on my 2015 Honda Civic EX; read online that it could be as simple as replacing the gas cap; purchased this item and looked up a video on how to install a new one. Went to turn on my car and lo and behold the error code disappeared! Can't say that it'll fix all emission system errors but in my case it did the trick! Saved a bunch of money vs taking it to the dealership. Highly recommend!

It is cheap, but certainly does not fit well. Installed it and have it on for ~two months, during which time the check engine light came on at least twice. So this does not solve the problem, even if you close it really tight. I also found that if you close it really tight, though it is not completely sealed, it's really hard to remove it when you need to fuel. For several times, I have to put back the fueling gun and use both my hands to just remove this fuel cap. To summarize, it is a bad cheap alternative and I regret buying it. I want to return it but unfortunately passed the 30-day return window.
