Had to use a Flathead screw driver to open it up to place my train card in it. But now that I opened it up once and loosened it up, I can easily open it without tools.

This lanyard is holder was really nice when I first got it out of the box! It is very durable for when I drop it! It has a nice pattern on the back that I personally really like! Overall great product totally recommend!
