There is No "Try", Just Get This
Packaged so well that it was a huge project to get the lamp out, which is a great thing because it was definitely protected. Lamp itself is a good size for a tabletop or desk. Comes with its own bulb. Illumination just right. Detailed and good quality. Due to the packaging material residue, the first few uses gave off a smell which eventually subsided.

The lamp is a hard solid plastic with a brass painted coat. Great quality and worth every penny. The bulb included is super bright.

Fortunately, I knew prior to purchasing that this sculpt is resin and colors could differ slightly from the images. Received it without damage and have had this for almost a year now. It looks just as good as the day I received it (not that lamps are generally used for anything other than creating light). Its a great conversation piece. Sure, it's expensive, but for me the price is worth it as I have not seen anything else like it. Very happy with the purchase.

read fine print - tax not included
"For important information regarding sales tax you may owe directly to your state, please check our Storefront Page by clicking on the storefront link above, and then selecting the Policies Tab" I did not catch this at first so when I saw the letter in mail from Bradford Group around tax time I was surprised and thought it was a scam. Would I pay the 10% tax extra for the lamp? YES. Should the fine print be bolded and underlined? probably. am i a happy customer? yes. best lamp ever! Every visitor who comes to my house walks by my great grandfather's oak desk and truly admires it. If I didn't think it would get stolen from the office, I would buy another for my desk at work.
