Great Guitar for the Price!
I was hesitant when I ordered this guitar online but truly pleased when it arrived and I began playing. I've got lots of different guitars--both acoustic and electric. Some very expensive and rare and some not. Every guitar is different. And this Takamine is quite excellent. I got it because it's so neat looking but have to admit that it plays rather well. I was happy that it was so good--amazingly, when I got it out of the box, it was basically about 1/2 a step out of pitch from an E. I'm all for this guitar and glad I got it. I think it could work not only for beginners but for pros who want a decent sound guitar for a really reasonable price.

Recommended! Bright Beauty!
First, I've wanted a Takamine for many years, so my review may be a little biased, but man am I so happy to finally have one! This model is gorgeous and sounds amazing; I haven't even changed the strings it came with yet! It has a beautiful bright tone and it's setup really well as far as string height etc. I'm convinced that you just can't beat this value... Best $300 guitar I've owned. Highly recommend!

A very nice guitar
Build quality is excellent, but since all woods are laminate I found the tone to be disappointing. Also, with laminate the guitar will never "open up" and sound warmer/fuller than it sounds right now. This isn't all bad. It's easy to play, and the onboard electronics worked perfectly. It simply wasn't the guitar I was looking for, but at this price point it is a very good bargain for the right person.
