I got these to lock my chair for sim racing. I have pedals that require up to 200kg of force, and I have them around 160kg. As long as you rotate your chair wheels as if you were going to roll backwards, you won't move an inch with them locked down. Having all 5 lock down individually is a gamechanger. For non-sim gaming purposes, they roll like a bead of water down vertical glass treated with RainX, are smooth and quiet. Could be a pro or con depending on your flooring. I'm on wood floors, if I sit hard enough, I'll roll 5ft away. Fit in my Secret Lab chair perfectly.

Greetingsw My home office was constructed as an add-on to my home's patio sometime shortly after it was built. As a result, the flooring has small grade, and is not level. As you may know, most chairs purchased in the retail world (vs. commercial) do not come with wheel locks. This caused a scenario where my chair was always trying to roll backwards from the direction I was sitting. Suddenly, I would find myself off of my office chair mat leaving me at an awkward, but growing distance of an angle to try to use my keyboard/mice, or desk in general. I already have a very bad back, and my unfortunate scenario was causing harsh levels of spinal trauma . The AGPtEK Replacement wheels did the trick. I now have the option to keep my chair in a fixed position when I wish to do so, and it has removed the need for the unsightly plastic chair mat. The replacement casters/wheels resemble roller-blade wheels and are designed to work on virtually any surface. As a precaution, after swapping out your office chair's wheel casters, test the new wheels to help assure that there will not be any damage to your flooring. The package containing the new caster wheels also includes an extended warranty card, along with a Phillips headed screw driver (which wasn't needed in my specific application) The installation, concept, and targeted purpose were all simple enough and very worth it. The AGPtEK caster wheels are highly effective, a great overall value, and we're very reasonably priced. I can now avoid using books from my bookshelves as a backstop to keep my chair from rolling away from my desk, while sitting in it. Very smooth and sturdy. They're easy to install, super quiet, and roll very nicely. And the brakes work well, which is definitely an important feature. My only complaint is that the brake tabs stick out to where you can jab yourself just above the heel if you're not careful. I have no idea how that design feature might be avoided, but as long as you're aware and careful, I think you'd be happy with them. It's really only an issue if you were to roll backwards and then bring your foot/feet back quickly; when you roll forward, the tabs automatically point toward the back of the wheel. So that was probably more carelessness on my part than a design flaw. Overall we're quite happy with them and I do recommend them. In fact, I'm probably going to order a second set soon.

These casters were Perfect for my Mother's adjustable bed! Yes, I said Adjustable Bed! My Mother's Adjustable bed wheels were completely useless, they didn't lock & her bed rolled every time she attempted to get in the bed. We looked for a long time to correct the situation & the casters are Brilliant! Don't hesitate to purchase! The flow easily & lock perfectly! I have a hard plastic desk chair mat (over carpet) and as a result, my chair glides effortlessly. Sometimes TOO effortlessly. I often find myself drifting away from the desk and these casters fit the bill. They are very easy to install and include a good quality flat tip screw driver to remove the old ones. Once installed it's quite easy to activate the locks. They require a good amount of pressure but I'm able to lock and unlock them with my feet. And they LOCK well. It only takes one to drastically limit the movement of the chair. You know instantly that the lock is on if you try to move without unlocking. One thing to note, they were about 1" shorter than the stock casters which are also rollerblade style. Not an issue for me as I was able to raise my chair. If you normally sit all the way up then it might be a factor.

Bought these to start my flight sim journey. Needed brakes on the office chair. They roll excellent and stay put with brakes on. Excellent wheels. Purchased a similar pair for my partner just because they roll so much better than the standard wheel.

I had recently purchased an Under Desk Bike Pedal Exerciser and when I first tried using it at my desk I kept pushing myself back and sliding around. My desk chair have cheap wheels on a wooden floor. I wasn't sure what to do but I began searching for lockable wheels and while I saw many options most were suspiciously expensive or just as suspiciously cheap and nearly ALL only allowed a couple of the wheels to lock THIS IS THE ONLY ONE WITH WHEELS THAT CAN ALL BE LOCKED. Considering the price i thought it couldn't hurt to try them but was concerned they may not fit or be somehow complicated to assemble but it could not have been easier even for me. Furthermore the wheels have a MUCH better glide and overall feel than the ones i replaced them with, they make NO NOISE and cause no harm to my wood flooring. I am about to order at least a couple more for a few other things like my mobile kitchen island and such. LOVE THEM

Good quality material. Very easy to install, includes decent flat head screw driver to leverage out the existing wheels to replace. Pop one out, slap another in. Lock brakes are what I was after and these wheels lock and hold.

I ordered these wheels at the same time that I ordered an Office Star chair from Amazon. Remembering how much of a hassle it was and the money we spent installing solid oak flooring in our house, I didn't want to the cheap hard plastic wheels that came with the chair to mark up my floors. The wheels were easy to install. You just pop them into the legs. And the chair glides on the hardwood with effortless ease. Perhaps a little too easy, but I'm not complaining. What I do want to complain about are the wings span out for you to snap on the brakes. This might be partially my fault, because I chose to buy these wheels with brakes, thinking that I might need them. As it turns out, I don't. But I'm left with these plastic wings that stick out from the bottom of the chair that will jump out and bite my feet if I walk too close to them. Maybe I'll spend some time over the holidays to find a way to break them off. Overall, what you get is a set of wheels that are easy to install, rolls really well, and plays nice with your hardwood floor. One last thing: expect these wheels to raise your chair height by an inch, compared to standard plastic wheels. If you're short and already sitting at the lowest setting, that might be a problem.

These caster wheels were easy to put on to the office chair. More importantly for our purpose, the brakes function better than expected. Recommend.
