It fits my e-reader well. The magnetic auto-shutoff works. The fit is not quite perfect, there were a couple loose threads (nothing serious). I wish they hadn't padded the covers; it would have made the e-reader with cover more compact, and small size is one of the chief reasons you get an e-reader in the first place.

Chose this case as it said it would fit the Kobo aura. It does not. Don't buy this for the aura

Protecting my e-reader is important because I'm always dropping things. This has nice padding over the window. It's not quite as nice as the leather cover I had for my old e-reader, but cost less than 1/3 as much. The automatic sleep/activate when the cover is closed/opened was not an important feature, but after using it, I'm sold.

I've used this cover for 4 months on the aura hd. The cover is still in good condition despite daily use.The case has padding to the front and back covers. I've managed to drop it a few times, this may or may not have helped avoid damage.With the cover on it doesn't fit my jeans pocket. However I find this device is uncomfortably large for trouser pocket in any case, so I typically carry it in a jacket pocket when out of doors.Mine has a quirk in the way it was stitched together in terms of the harness the device is slid into. Vertically the harness is almost perfectly parallel with the sides of the screen, but horizontally there's a gradient. The top left corner of the harness sits slightly above the edge of the screen, while the top right corner is slightly below, occluding a little of the top right of the screen. Because the device sits so snugly in the harness I'm unable to correct the slant by twisting it around.The aura hd goes back to sleep shortly after the cover is opened, typically before I can finish reading the page. I gather this is a problem with the device itself and not the cover. The workaround is to perform an action after it wakes up. I normally open and close the menu overlay. Switching the light on and off via hardware button does not work unfortunately.

First impressions were "reasonable cover" but I was startled to discover it is was not made of leather as described but was actually some sort of plastic covered with sponge and a leather AFFECT polypropylene veneer. Immediately on sliding my Aura HD into this cover the corner section on the top right tore away as it was sewn too tight to take the Aura's full depth/dimensions. At £15 odd delivered I wish I had put the money towards a product that truly was leather as I had found leather products at similar prices in the past.As it is not leather (as advertised) it will not last too long, mine is fraying and beginning to show signs of wear one month in. It looks nice to begin with but feels cheap and tacky in the hand.

Has a nice feel to it, fits the Kobo Aura well, looks really good and provides a high degree of protection. With the hinged cover you can hold it like a book which helps sometimes.To a degree there in lies a problem, the Aura auto power down can be triggered when the cover is folded right back and held closed. This only happens if you hold it tightly but on a train sometimes the jolts make it happen. You get in the habit of putting a finger between the cover and the unit and its fine.

Ordered this case as my second choice after getting fed up of waiting for the official Kobo cover. For less than a quarter of the price of the Kobo case this turns out to be a very suitable alternative. It fits the Aura HD like a glove, all of the reader's ports and switches are freely accessible and the auto sleep feature works perfectly. So, very happy customer who saved a lot of money and has not a single problem with the purchase. Serendipity.

Looks exactly like it is. The cushions on both sides give a proper protection of the aura. Works exactly as advertised, no shutdown problems when the cover is flipped over to the back. With this price it's truly a gem.
