Put the plug in the wall socket.

I was directed here from a "self-clean aquariums" website. but i see people talking about cleaning this aquarium. Is it self clean? Thanks.

There is no such thing as a self-cleaning aquarium

Is there hole in the lid to feed a heater cord through?

Yes there's a tiny gap on the back side of the lid for a heater cord. As wells as a small gap toward the front which you can throw food through or use it to put your finger to grasp the lid and open the lid out.

How many packs of BiOrb pebble packs are needed to set-up like the images on the box? If only 5 comes in a pack, the box looks like it has 25-30!

My packet did only come with about 5 rocks they're pretty big but if you want to fill the tank I think you need about 5 packets.
