It's very roomy without being oversized. I carry a fair amount of stuff with me -- 3 pairs of glasses, wallet, brush, phone, keys, and various small items in a cosmetic pouch -- and this purse is large enough for all of it with a little room to spare. The shape makes it easy to find all of it quickly. It has two zippered outside pockets, so my phone and keys are secure. The leather isn't stiff and is reasonably supple. The bag seems to be well-made, and the handle attaches to the purse with a metal clasp, so it seems it will last a while. The slate color shown in the picture is true. (P.S. The pebbled leather and antique gold hardware are beautiful. Thank goodness it has just a couple of interior pockets...one zippered and two open pockets. I don't like multiple pockets which gets confusing. The interior lining fabric is light colored which makes it easy to find contents. Maybe best of all, it has one shoulder strap that is exactly the ideal length.
