This combination of rod and reel has to be the lightest most sensitive that i have ever used. Spooled with 12lb mono, the reel casted extremely smooth. once they were tuned for the bait weight and the brakes adjusted, I casted 80+ times without any problems or fatigue. The 10+1 bearings made it feel buttery smooth. The retrieval was a little fast for my taste in bait choices being that it was 7.1:1. I should have payed closer attention and purchased the 6.4:1 version. Overall happy with the purchase, great reel. Review: Amazing - Throwing all my other reels away. Once this things dialed in, its so easy to get whatever I'm casting to where I'm aiming. Got this with the jordan lee 6'10 heavy rod and I can't complain one bit.
