No, really the highs and lows are rather nice in this and the bass is kicking. For the cost they've been amazing and are rather solid, which I'd expect from Pioneer. Wish I'd spent the extra $50 for BT... Frugal Buyers Remorse. If you can't see yourself needing BT since you're an insane audiophile and you do analog only then these are great for the value!
