Infused permethrin lasts the life of the garment.It kills ticks if they crawl over it and it's safe to use.I live in tick central. I see deer covered with ticks almost daily. I had Lyme disease. I don't want that again.I wear Insect shield socks everytime I'm out in the yard or the woods. But I wanted a gator for my legs so I'd have more protection.The Good:These are easy to put on and they stay on.Very comfortable.The Bad. The XL isn't all that large.It fits over my sock and sweat pants barely. I doubt they'll fit over my jeans.
