Why choose the Torrent reel?

Torrent offers strong value for bass fishing, with 18lb carbon drag, 5+1 bearings, magnetic braking, an 8oz body, and 5.3:1 or 7.1:1 options for different techniques.

Is the magnetic brake easy to adjust?

Yes. The external magnetic brake lets you tune casting control quickly. Start with a higher setting and tighter spool tension, then loosen gradually for longer casts.

Which gear ratio should I choose?

Choose 5.3:1 for crankbaits and slower retrieves with more control. Choose 7.1:1 for faster pickup when pitching jigs, burning baits, or taking up slack line.

How much line does it hold?

Capacity varies by model: 7.1:1 holds 30lb braid/120yd or 10lb mono/120yd. 5.3:1 holds 30lb braid/145yd or 10lb mono/195yd. Avoid overfilling.

Can I use light line?

It works best with proper baitcaster line sizes. Very light line may slip into gaps during backlash, so beginners may prefer heavier mono, fluoro, or braid first.
