I was going to buy a Hilti with an optical rangefinder thing to match a colleague but found this. Side by side the Bosch is slicker; colour display and a side button. The Hilti goes further but I'll never need the kind of range either offers. And they measure accurately side-by-side over the tested 30m. Incidentally Hilti's service department is interesting; ostensibly helpful and quick to respond but they run for the hills when things get even vaguely non-standard. And spare part pricing is absolutely ludicrous. Bosch I don't know about.
