I actually ordered this as I'd misplaced my ma'amoul mold, and wanted to make ma'amoul stuffed with date paste for Rosh Hashanah (ma'amoul are little cookies made from semolina and date / nut paste). It worked perfectly for my needs - though I was sure to oil the wood beforehand. It just took a few swift taps to the counter to get the ma'amoul to fall out. It's lovely, seems good quality (especially for the price), and cleaned up easily with a bit of warm water. Will have to try using it for mooncakes next.

Love it works great. But larger than I thought. Maybe I’ll look for smaller size next time. I made mamuul cookies with this. Best work with greasing the paddle first make sure to get all areas and push dough firmly around the center and edges for best pattern.

The mold uses good quality wood. it is very sturdy. The size is a lot smaller than what I have expected. Cleaning has proven to be not so easy. To get the material out of the mold, you really need to pound it against something, but that is to be expected. I would use it if it is bigger, now it is just a pretty good looking mold laying around and not being used.

Received today. OD is about 2 inch and 5/8 inch depth. It is too small for making normal size of the mooncake. Quality looks ok.

Make sure you flour it first and whack it hard on the counter to remove the mooncakes! (Don't try to pick it out like I did at first😂 had to look it up on YouTube). Designs all turned out super cute

Real fast shippingVery strong piece of wood, you can tell it’s machine made by the precision and neatness of the cutting. I’ll use it as a decoration piece since modern easier “plastic and metal “ mold are available.The handle is a little bit short for repetitive work I’ll have to rework the grip and give it a nicer finish

Looks great! But I was afraid to use for the wood would end up on in my cookies! Rough inside!

This is a great addition to making mamool as it enables you make a large batch in the fraction of the time. Cleans easily
