SPORTTAPE Kinesiology Tape, 5cm x 5m, Wild - Waterproof, Hypoallergenic

I ordered this 3-roll pack in light blue, and it has been an absolute lifesaver for my wrist and thumb recovery. The shade is a stunning, vibrant electric sky blue that looks modern and athletic, which is a massive visual relief after dealing with dreary, traditional hospital splints! My NHS Hand Therapy unit originally used this type of tape to strap my forearm, and it was so incredibly comfortable. They took a photo to guide me on how to apply fresh strips by myself at home, but I had to get my own supply. In all honesty, after 2-3 months of using rigid braces, when the hand therapy unit applied this tape for the first time, I could not believe it: it was the most comfortable my wrist and thumb had felt since the initial injury. Having used it for over 3 months now, I can say with absolute certainty that it really works; I genuinely believe it massively helped my recovery and provided a level of therapeutic relief that a bulky brace simply couldn't. To be clear, it is not a direct substitute for rigid braces right at the start of an injury, but it acts as an amazing transitional therapy for the later stages of healing. The therapies can even overlap—if you still need to wear a rigid brace but find it is digging in and rubbing you in certain places, this tape can be applied directly to the skin underneath to act as a highly effective, comfortable friction shield. CRITICAL APPLICATION TIPS: It is vital to stretch the tape in stages as you apply it, or it will not work as well. This means the piece you cut always needs to be noticeably shorter than the area on your body, as it has to be stretched out. Applying it to yourself is a challenge, but I found a great workaround: when peeling back the non-adhesive backing, fold about 2 cm of the paper right back on itself to form a hard crease, whilst ensuring you don't get stuck to the open stick tape part. This anchors the first part of the tape securely enough to let you begin stretching the rest - but in stages. As you apply more, you can peel back larger portions of the backing paper, but ensure the tape is firmly pressed to the skin and smoothed over as more of the length is put down. DURABILITY IN THE SHOWER: The tape handles the shower excellently and dries off well. However, it only lasts a maximum of 3 days before needing to be replaced, as it eventually retreats from the edges and leaves a distinct dark gum border. It lasts longer if kept dry. REMOVAL & ADHESIVE CLEANUP: Removing it can be an adventure. While it will not inadvertently 'self-wax' your skin, it is firmly stuck. Fully soaking the tape in the shower and rubbing hand soap or shower gel deeply into the fabric is the best way to slide it off safely. Once the tape is off, it leaves a lot of stubborn black adhesive behind that can easily get tangled in one's hairs. Warm water and soap handle the bulk of it, but for the really stubborn leftover gum, I purchased a pack of isopropyl alcohol-based medical swabs. Laying a swab over the stubborn area to let it soak, or rubbing gently, makes the gum yield perfectly. Avoid using loose alcohol gels over large areas, as it will dry your skin out. This is a high-quality, professional-grade tape that offers superb targeted support while allowing natural mobility. A definitive 5 out of 5 stars!

worked really well tbh would reccomend it's good considering the price, really sticky though so if you have it on for only a day then take it off the adhesive will stay on your skin

Im glad I brought this not only is it nice and colourful its done a great job of supporting my knee. It's very stretchy and has stayed on after showering. I did cut the ends as directed but have found they do seem to lift not much but annoying would not stop me using, infact I have ordered more.🙂

I had previously used other makes of Kinesiology Tape and have bad experiences as have become allergic in the past, so I was concerned when needed to use Kinesiology Tape again. . After a lot of research I decide on this make , mainly as it stated it was hypoallergenic and water resistant. I am so pleased that I have had no reaction and this is water Resistant, I can wash my hands and its stayed in place really well. I am really impressed and will be buying more.

I really like this sport tape. The pattern is fun and the tape gives good support. I don’t know if the result are placebo or real but they help me so I figure it’s a win. I find this tape is good value for money and sticks well, one of the best Iv found. The size is versatile and can be cut down if needed

I'm using this tape to strap my Achilles tendons to help with tendonosis as advertised by physio. I wanted the tape to be fun and colourful and this tape is just that. It also sticks well and doesn't fray much and is easy to apply.It can stay on for a good 5 days. It is also reasonably priced. I would recommend and buy again.

Really helps with my plantar fasciitis. Stays on very well. Good adhesive and doesn't irritate my feet.

j'ai acheté ce tape car celle qui sont vendu dans les grandes surface ou magasin de sport crée des démangeaisons. donc j'ai opté pour ce produit comme il est hypoallergénique mais aucun effet ! Bon produit mais j'ai des doute pour son étiquette hypoallergénique.
