Great Bag
I needed a large cross body bag for work and general travel. This bag is a bit smaller than the bag I'm used to, but I imagine it will work. Craftsmanship appears to be solid, it's real leather. I am planning to treat it with neatsfoot oil to waterproof it and darken the leather a little. Great bag! Very pretty and I imagine it will hold up to regular use. If anything goes wrong with it, it will be the fittings (as that's what always breaks first), but this bag might be worth repair if that happens. So some things that some reviewers failed to mention: The buckles on the bag are decorative or can be used to extend the pocket thickness! There are snaps on the front two pockets, and a clasp on the main compartment. So the reviews that say you have to buckle and unbuckle things are wrong. You only have to adjust the buckles for thickness of what you're carrying. Once you do that, you can leave the buckles alone. The back has a zippered compartment. It's very roomy. Great for people who have to carry lots of crap on a daily basis. UPDATE: Added before oiling and after oiling so you can see how giving the leather some moisture not only deepens the color, but makes the bag softer. I did not use neatsfoot oil like I originally thought I would. Instead I used Doc Martins Leather Balsam and a little bit of olive oil. I oiled the complete bag, let it sit for 24 hours, wiped it down with a dry cloth really good, then filled it up! It looks gorgeous! UPDATE 09/16/2020 - One year later. Still love it! This bag has been thrown in and out of my car, filled with 5 pounds of stuff (that I lug around day-to-day), dragged into the office and thrown onto the floor (I am an essential worker and have worked all through COVID) and it still looks great and works great. No weird smells (other than leather), no faulty buckles or stitching. I will likely give it another oiling to keep the leather supple, but this was a good buy for me. Still an awesome bag. Regular purses are usually falling apart on me at this point. I'll update this review again next year. UPDATE - 02/24/2021 - Still holding up. The bag will be two years old this coming August and it has gotten better with age. Thinking of buying a laptop messenger bag from this company next. UPDATE - 1/19/2023 - This bag is still holding up 4 years later and I will likely have it for many years to come. Totally worth the price I paid for it. I expect I'll have this bag for another 4 years or more. Nothing is broken and I use it daily. UPDATE 2/16/2024 - Still a great bag and holding up well and looking sharp. I always get compliments on this bag, which is weird, because no other bag I own gets as many comments. Anyway, I am still pleased that I bought this as it's held up for five years so far. Usually my overfilled bags are falling apart by now.

Sturdy, well made, real leather for a good price
I wanted a leather bag to use as a purse, with the hope that it would last me a long, long time. Fully leather items seem to last me the longest, I am pretty hard in my belongings - I have the tools to resew worn out stitching, etc. as long as the leather is decent enough to have survived that long. I was pretty skeptical about this bag given the price, but I’m definitely pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely leather, and it’s constructed using all leather pieces (as in, the exterior does not have leather sewn to canvas). A leatherworker sells some of her work at my store and actually asked about this bag and was impressed by the craftsmanship. The interior is very roomy and has a zippered pouch as well as open topped dividers. The zippered pouch on the back of the exterior is a good size as well. I LOVE the closures on the two small front pockets; the fact that the buckle on the closures are perfectly functionally made, but there’s still a magnet to ‘cheat’ unbuckling! Usually when I’ve run into a faux-buckle-hiding-a-magnet-snap on a bag, the buckle front is obviously not functional, but these are real, properly made buckles (which hide a magnet - who has time to bucket little pockets? I still want it to look real though, and these do!) The pockets themselves are a little small, they fit a few tubes of chapstick/mascara, etc. but would hold an iPhone or a folding wallet. I did have to punch an extra hole in the leather strap because the options the bag came with made the bag fall too low for my liking. I am 5’9” so I assume this would be an issue for shorter folks, but having to punch an extra hole was well worth the quality of this bag. If you’re thinking about it, do it. It’s sturdy, it is clearly well made and looks like it, and to me it feels like it’ll last a good amount of time. The zippers and interiors

Beautiful bag
I just received this purse as a gift. The size is perfect - large enough for essentials, but not big like a messenger bag. For me, it comfortably fits a full size wallet, sunglasses case, a couple smaller bags stuffed with misc items, and tissue packets in main part; my phone in back zipper pocket; and keys and gum/mints in outside buckle pockets. I do not have room for a book or my journal, but it would be possible to add small ones, and/or a small e- reader or ipad, if you didn't have a large wallet or the misc bags of items that I do. The hardware was all well wrapped and the leather does not smell like chemicals. It is a little stiff, so I plan to condition it, but it isn't too stiff to use out of the package. I got the brown leather and it is lined with greenish cotton canvas. The pad for the strap was too stiff for me, so I took it off and it is comfy without. Strap is adjustable to wear as shoulder bag or a crossbody (I'm 5'8" tall). The purse comes with a dust bag for storage. I hope this holds up well because I really like it.

Great leather bag for the money
1) First of all, to the reviewers who reference a mysterious "smell", that's the smell of genuine leather. There's nothing chemical or mysterious about it. 2) It's exactly as pictured. The large fold-over flap closes with an easy-open latch. The two exterior front pockets open and close with a snap, and they're where I keep my cell phone and keys. The strap is adjustable - I'm 5'5" and keep it at the shortest length - the "shoulder pad" that slides over it makes it very comfortable to carry. My hair hangs past the middle of my back and I've had no issue with it getting stuck in the strap as another reviewer mentioned. 3) I bought this as an every-day bag, but specifically to also carry my very simplistic word processing device that's about the size of a laptop, as well as a 1" binder. I had to get a little creative with the placement of things - I slide the device inside the binder and keep that in the largest central pocket. My large 8x5 wallet slides vertically into the pocket in front of that central pocket and my bulky hairbrush goes beside the wallet. In the remaining interior pockets and rear exterior pocket, I manage to fit my notary stamp, asthma inhaler, compact, tampons, pens, small notepad, nail file. My cell phone and keys go in the two front pockets. I'm describing this in detail because at first I didn't think all of these things would fit comfortably with convenient access to them but, after a little shuffling around, I'm thrilled that this awesome satchel can handle all my necessary clutter! 4) This bag is beautiful, well-crafted, and a great value. I highly recommend it, and I thank the seller for taking pride in their product! 5) My two cents: 1) When the large flap is latched closed it partially overhangs the two exterior front pockets, somewhat inhibiting full, easy access to their contents, and 2) the strap could stand to be a few inches shorter because when it's buckled in the last hole for the shortest length which would be typical purse length for a girl of average height, the excess strap is very long. But overall, if you're on the fence, buy it for sure!

The BEST USA CHOICE IN A PURSE I HAVE EVER MADE
This is an EXCEPTIONAL PURSE and MADE BY A COMPANY THAT TRULY THINKS OF EVERYTHING! I only carry Coach Classic Leather purses/handbags. I also only carry black and brown leather. However, Coach doesn't carry this style of purse and I have waited and looked for this particular style. I also get frustrated with the "it all goes to purse infinity" meaning your items all go in one section and you dig and dump to find things. The excellent reviews and size of this purse made me decide to take a chance and IT IS THE BEST CHANCE I HAVE EVER TAKEN. I decided to take photos upon realizing it came with a dust bag, this is a detail and item that comes will all luxury leather purses. 1. With a dust bag you can confidently store your purse knowing it is protected 2. All metal pieces are quality wrapped so the DO NOT SCRATCH THE LEATHER IN TRANSIT. This is an insight and detail that 99% of companies either fail to do because of cost and labor or don't realize 3. There are numerous outer and inner pockets. I have taken photos to demonstrate. 2 inner zip pockets as well as compartments. A zip pocket on the back of purse (outside) and the two front pockets. 4. A feature I didn't see in photos is that all the "buckles" actually have hidden snaps or easy release closures/open. I expected to NOT use the front 2 pockets, because of having to unbuckle closures, which was fine because I liked and wanted, my lthe look. I was very pleasantly surprised to find these are easy snaps and even the main buckle has a quick release!! 5. This is real, high quality leather. You can smell it, feel it and see it. As with all leather, there are natural variations in color, texture and look. THIS IS HOW REAL LEATHER IS! All the various "trendy" purses with a designer's ridiculous initials on it ARE PLASTIC. YES PLASTIC. It is, quite honestly, junk. This is not. Invest in leather cleaner and moisturizer. If you care for this purse it can be passed down through generations. 6. The stitching is reinforced at significant points by doing a DOUBLE STITCH. The purse is not going to come apart. 7. I like the interior material. I believe it is a sturdy cotton which will be much easier to clean. Coach purses have a satiny Interior and it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get any liquid or pen/pencil Mark's out. You have to carry those items in a separate cosmetic bag or case. This material is sturdier and a more neutral color. 8. The price is ridiculously low. I would easily have paid 300.00-500.00 for this purse. In fact I have never bought a brown wallet but if this company makes one, I am purchasing it today! FINALLY, my father bought my mother the 130th Coach purse at the original Carriage House in San Francisco. It was a different style a a bit larger, but brown. I won't even say what it is worth 40 years later, but multiply this purse's price ×100 and you get the idea. I can definitely see Komal's being as well known and valued some day. I feel extremely pleased to have found and made this purchase. I have NEVER taken photos or written such a lengthy review. A standing ovation to those whose passion brought us this brand and may you never cut the quality or attention to detail. This is an OUTSTANDING PURSE!

For the price, it isn’t bad.
So far, it’s not awful. Seems fairly sturdy, the strap is a little long for me, but I’ll probably just punch a new hole. I like the color a lot, it’s exactly as pictured, and I’m sure it will get darker and develop more character over time. I don’t care for how it was packaged, being completely flat made the corners weird. I know it will settle after a while, but I still don’t love that. There are also a few places where the stitching isn’t great, loose threads, ends sticking out instead of being burnt to keep them in place, what looks like they ran out of trim pieces and stuck another piece over to cover the spot, and a crooked clasp. Just finishing issues basically. It’s alright for the price, can’t expect too much being a mass produced bag and cheap for a leather piece.

I really like the bag
Updated June 2020- I still love this bag and the issues I had at the beginning have dissipated. There is no longer any odor and the leather has softened and aged very well. It has been used everyday and still looks great. The buckle still tangles in my hair, but that is something I figured would happen when I purchased it. My hair tangles with everything. I updated my rating from 4 stars to 5 I have had the bag since May and it is now the end of July. I wanted to really try out the bag before I reviewed it. I really like the bag. It works great for a travel bag. It can hold quite a bit of stuff. There are the two pockets with buckles on the front, two zippered pockets on the inside, and a zippered pocket on the outside back of the bag. Each zippered pocket is roomy and holds a lot. The lining is nice and the center divider of the purse is helpful to keep things organized. The front flap looks like it has to buckle closed, but there is a latch that holds it closed. The leather is a beautiful brown and is going to age very well. The leather is a bit stiff still, but I know with use it will soften. I get lots of compliments when using it. The seller takes pride in his work. There was a nice note included in with the bag, as well as a silk bag to store the bag in to keep dust off. I have waist length hair and the buckle on the strap catches every once in a while. I knew that from reading others’ reviews. It would be great if the buckle were closer to the body of the bag. I was able to thread the strap through the plastic bag of items I purchased so I had hands free carrying. Another feature that would be helpful would be a short handle on top of the flap. When I pick up the bag from the seat next to me, I end up pinching the top of the bag before I can put the strap on. Those would be recommendations for the bag. I would have given this five stars but for one problem. Other reviewers have mentioned the smell from the bag. My bag smells like tanned leather... most of the time. Every once in a while when I open it up is smells like the tanning process went wrong or something. I left the bag opened and the smell dissipated, but every now and then I get a whiff of that smell. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and am thinking about getting the smaller matching bag for everyday use

Amazing Bag
I went from an open tote style bag to this bag and I could not be happier. First, the slight smell (that goes away very quickly and I wish it hadn't) is real leather. I don't think people really know what that smells like any more with all of the fake leather, but advertised as real, products out there. The bag is made of very sturdy leather. I did add a leather conditioner (Lexol) when I first got the bag, but I don't believe you have to do that. I just treat my leather products really well. That way they last a long time. I've been using the bag for less than a month and the bag is just starting to "conform" to my shape. Like any other lether product, it starts to fit you how you use it. The padded slide over the strap is really good, especially when you wear a tank top or sundress. I love the cross-body style. I am on the shorter side (5'4") and the strap adjusts well to wearing the bag cross-body, as well as just over one sholder. The color and feel of the leather is absolutely perfect. I read some reviews that said the leather was thin ... I'm not sure what purse they had, but it was not this one! The inside material is thick, sturdy material too. That is exactly what I was looking for inside a purse. All this thin material that you find in purses rips in a matter of months. The bag is large enough to carry a lot of stuff. I don't carry my tab everyday, but when I do I use one of the interior pockets and it fits perfectly. I have a larger wallet, a make-up bag, a first-aid bag, one of the larger note phones, a brush, tissues, gum, etc. ... you know all that "stuff" we carry in our purses. All of that fits with ease and I can still throw in a book, if I need too. The front 2 pockets I was hoping to use for the phone, but my phone is just too big. Those pockets are greats for keys and lip balm. Both pockets have beautiful buckels, but also have a snap closure underneath that makes access a breeze. The main closure is also a buckle with a snap hidden underneath. I love that when I don't tote as much stuff I can adjust the buckles so that the bage still looks neat. The purse does come with a dust bag, which is essential for storing a leather good for any extended period of time. It keeps the mold away. The letter from the business owner was a suprise. It legitimately seems that a smaller start-up business owner is just trying to sell a quality product for a fair price and still make it in today's cutthroat/cut quality market. I wish her well and all the success she should have from her leather line. Like I said above, I've only used this bag for under a month, so I gave the durability a 5 because it appears that way. I use it every single day and will update the review in 6 months or so. It really is a super nice bag. I can't believe the price was this low!
