Directions Included Review: Great tool - Never really flossed before but I sure do now Review: Nice design, poor manufacturing - I wanted to save on plastic. The design is clever, but you can't sterilise it, because the inner ratchet is crap metal liable to rust. A bit flimsy too. In consideration of these facts, it's way overpriced.

Nice design, poor manufacturing

Not great but useable
I bought this as a replacement for my previous reusable flosser thinking it would be an upgrade but it's just a faff. I agree with other reviews that the type of dental floss does matter to how well it wraps around but even still it's hit and miss as to whether the floss actually stays on, I usually have to hold on to the end to stop it unravelling. In the end I can use it as a flosser but the more simple designs work better for me.

Such a simple thing to finally help with the annoyance of flossing
I hate flossing. I used to use those plastic bow ones. But they shredded in a couple of goes. I felt like I was wasting so much plastic. My dentist uses 'saturn' floss and it feels amazing and glides right through the teeth. So I bought that, forgetting how much I hated wrapping it around my fingers and never quite getting the right angle. Searched for something like this - found something like this - loved using it. It's fiddly the first few times, but it's just a 'getting used to it' thing. Hopefully it lasts a while. I'll update my review if it falls apart after a few months or so.

Disappointed
I really wanted this to work. Floss pings out and it takes a good while and patience to thread in the first place.

Not for tightly spaced teeth.
My teeth are very close to one another and I shred pretty much every floss ever made. The Listerine Ultraclean Access flosser works better than most but is expensive. I can't use it more than once (who would want to really) so thought this might be a good option using my own floss purchased in bulk. The Glide floss that I have is too slippery and won't stay on the posts unless knotted. Even then, the knot will slip as I tighten it in order to maintain enough tension so that I can force it between my tight teeth. If you have enough space between your teeth, this is probably an adequate option. If you have teeth like mine, stick with wrapping floss around your fingers. If you have money to burn, go with the Ultracare.

I've actually kept up with flossing!
I know it's been drilled into us to floss and brush twice daily but flossing was something I never did until a couple days before I had to go to the dentist. My gums would bleed, I couldn't maneuver around my mouth using the tradition method. This thing is GREAT! I have no gum bleeding now and I actually look forward to flossing.

Interesting find
Bought this mainly to help my child floss. Personally I find the flossing sticks awkward to use while flossing someone else's teeth, they never seem to have the right angle and seem to get caught in between teeth. So far this wand is an interesting find. I like that you can use whatever floss you prefer. It wasn't to hard to thread the flosser, but I could see it being a little challenge. (Expecially when the instructions are on the back of the package. If you rip open the product, you could loose the instructions on the back) Good product to help parents floss kids teeth.

Process of inserting new floss could be better
I had used a Reach toothbrush style flossing pick with replaceable picks for years due to having trouble getting regular floss to the rear molars using my hands. I bought the Toothbat thinking I could just buy a roll of floss which would last a long time and be less expensive. This holder requires looping floss over and around to secure it and requires you to repeatedly tighten it as the floss stretches. It needs to have a way of clamping the floss in without relying on friction to hold it in place. It works but made flossing more of a chore than it was before.

Love this thing!
Makes it so very simple to get at the back teeth and ensure that the flossing job is done right. Only thing that could make it better is a way to add a roll of floss that you simply use, cut off the used portion and pull out more floss. But I'm picky about my floss, so I probably wouldn't like the floss that fits it... Great item!
