I’m not a physician but this product, specifically this brand, was prescribed by a physician for a member of my family so I began reading studies and medical journal articles about it and list some of the claims found in those studies here. Phosphatidylcholine is a major fat in cell membranes and blood proteins in our bodies. This product is Non GMO and a Professional Brand prescribed by holistic physicians. It improves brain health, heart health, liver function, protects stomach lining and is a beneficial supplement for those with MTHFR gene. It supports clearer thinking, better cognition, calming, calms damaged nerves better than Gabapentin, is a helpful supplement for individuals who suffer from seizures, ASD or memory problems. Our extended family experience with this product supports the claims listed above. The powdered form is helpful to those who cannot swallow pills; just put it in a smoothie.

It has been over a year since I bought a 300g container of phosphatidylcholine. I have really come to enjoy using it for all sorts of purposes. I love the smell and flavor (perhaps these are acquired tastes). It is not nearly as oily as my Fearn Liquid Lecithin, so it is great when I don't want to increase the oil content of a mixture too much. It dissolves easily into watery substances, cold, and thickens them--good for sauces. It's a bit harder to dissolve into plain cold water, but easy enough to dissolve into hot water. And of course it dissolves into oil, since oil is where it came from in the first place. On the down side, it is so finely ground that it tends to clump together and stick to my spoon, but on the upside of the same dimension, it is far easier to use than liquid lecithin. It doesn't have quite the same heavy, waxy coating effect on my tongue that Fearn's liquid does. I live in an environment subject to extremes of humidity. Once, I discovered that my jar had been left with the lid very loosely wound onto the container, for who knows how long--a couple of weeks, at least. The product was all gummed together such that it was hard to insert a spoon into it. I thought it was basically ruined. But I discovered this on a day when the humidity was quite low, 40%, so I just left the jar open for a few hours and the clumps fell apart into spoonable fluff again.

I used this to make lipo c. It says it has a high PC content which is why I chose this over some of the other available lecithins. I have no way to validate. I do like the resulting flavor. I'll buy it again.

I researched natural ways to lower blood pressure and someone said to use this, vitamin E and magnesium because that's some of the components of our cells. No miracles as of yet but I do notice clearer thinking and less anxiety so it must be doing something. Expensive though. I mix a teaspoon in my coffee where it melts. Doesn't have much of a flavor.

Everyone has their own preferences, so I'll just say that for me - the flavor is quite pronounced even in my coffee. Sort of gross flavor. I bet it would do better in a smoothie. I didn't read the back of the label prior to buying this, but when I received it the ingredient label shows this as soy lecithin... IF that's all this product is, then I think I could have spent way less to just purchase powdered soy lecithin for like $10 vs' the $50 this cost. Meh!!! Oh well, I primarily bought this for my husband anyways. So, I hope it does improve liver and brain function like it says.
