Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it's basically just sweetened milk. If you've come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It's what you should be drinking instead! When I've tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I've not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I'm pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you'd have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar.
