TRIHARD Chlorine Defense Body Lotion for Swimmers, Protects and Hydrates Sensitive Skin from Pool and Ocean, Pre and Post Swim Chlorine Protection from Hard Water and Chemicals

A newbie swimmer here, enjoying the process of learning, loving the water, but not so much enjoying reeking of chlorine and feeling totally desiccated, even after two showers - one at the pool and another when I get home. I was starting to get an itchy rash on my lower legs and while I they were doing okay with my normal body lotion, I thought I'd give this Trihard stuff a go, even though I'm totally dubious about 'specially formulated' products with techie names on (often an excuse to charge an exorbitant price). Well, this is actually really lovely stuff! I only got it today and have only put it on my arms and legs so far, but they feel sooo silky smooth. I can't quite put my finger on what the fragrance is, but it's pleasant and fresh and not overpowering and, hey presto, I don't smell like a chemical plant. The only negative thing I'd say about it is that, as someone who is now going to the pool 4 times a week, I imagine I'll use this 100ml tube up pretty quickly. It's just about the size of an average tube of hand cream, when the ideal size for me would be about a litre, I reckon, LOL! It could get very pricey pretty quickly if I were to use it all over my body, and I'm not inclined to put it on pre-swim as the tube suggests, only for it to be washed down the shower drain! Perhaps I'll just use it on my extremities and use my everyday lotion on the rest of my body. Anyway. It's good moisturiser and I'm glad I decided to splash out on it, if you'll pardon the pun. Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention... the box comes with two samples - one of the hair condition and one of the body wash. Both also very nice indeed. I only used a tiny squeeze of the body wash and it created a lovely creamy lather with a bit of a eucalyptus tingle, I think, guessing by the fragrance. I'll be adding the whole range to my shopping list, I think. Quality stuff and it certainly seems to do what it says on the tin. Now, if only I could find a solution to 'goggle eyes'...

It’s pretty good does the job of protecting a skin tan ( although putting it on own back is obviously impossible - otherwise its great and works just a bit costly so unless it’s for a necessary coverage against chlorine for health reasons and not “ tan vanity “ it’s a lot to maintain monthly . But it’s a good product ( though we have no choice as seems it’s THE ONLY product of this type anyway to choose from lol . But if budget can cope yes I’d recommend it .

Works really well as a pre-swim lotion and as a post-swim moisturiser. I found my skin was less affected by chlorine when I applied it before aqua aerobics; it was less dry and itchy. When I didn’t have time to apply it beforehand, using it afterwards helped to neutralise the chlorine smell and keep my skin soft and smooth. Long lasting as you don’t need to use loads. A bit expensive though.

It feels nice on the skin and smells pretty good. I have been using it before and after my swims 4/5 times weekly, in a chlorinated pool. I am unconvinced that it has helped my itchy skin over and above other skin moisturisers. I bought two, but as it is expensive I do not think I will continue to purchase.

Love the smell and makes skin very soft. I do aqua 4 times a week plus have a hot tub. My sensitive skin can get very itchy and dry being in chlorinated water so much. It’s not cheap but a tube does go a long way

I go swimming most days and found my skin slightly sensitive to the chlorine but since using this after swimming I have no more problems will definitely use this again

I brought this for my son who suffers from eczema which is exasperated from swimming/chlorine. We have just spent the weekend in a lodge with a hot tub and as he’s a water baby he was in and out of it non stop! This product didn’t stop flare ups, his skin isn’t great currently but it did help in the respect his skin didn’t flare up until about the 4th dip in the hot tub. It’s better than using no cream at all, it smells good and applies lovely and not greasy. Unfortunately it’s quite expensive, we’ve used half a tub over the weekend but I would still buy it again as anything that helps him is good enough for me

ottima crema, le parti trattate non si arrossano durante la nuotata. Un po' costosa da usare per piccole parti.

Die Lotion ist recht teuer. Aber für geplagte Langstreckenschwimmerhaut war es ein verzweifelter Versuch. Tatsächlich hilft sie besser als die meistens benutzte Vaseline. Ich habe wieder bestellt.

I bought this cream to protect my feet from reacting to the chemicals in my pool due to neuropathy. It worked beautifully. I put it on before going in the pool and remove it with soap and water in the shower after getting put of the pool. I dont have to deal with nerve pain in my feet and can once again enjoy my pool.

En según qué piscinas con cloro, tras nadar la piel se me pone muy roja, como si me hubiese quemado al sol, y me pica. Con esta crema evito bastante esa reacción pero hay que enjuagarse muy bien tras nadar antes de volver a echársela. Conclusión funciona pero no es mano de santo. Me tengo que echar bastante y es bastante cara. La seguiré comprando, no me queda otra si quiero hacer natación
