The material is fantastic. Have been using this for quite a while now and still seems as though it is brand new. The weight is perfect, I went heavier on purpose and it definitely worked. Also when it was delivered all I had to do is pull it out of the box and it was ready to use.

So I got the ball, and it was a bit larger than I had anticipated. No big deal, I can work with it. The weight is good, but it is a little off balance. I bought it mainly as a wall ball, which is where the problems begin. The ball is leather (or similar material) which means its VERY slick unless your hands are a little grimy and sticky. It's hard to catch, as the ball wants to keep sliding between my hands. Are there benefits to this?? Sure...as you have to squeeze a little harder to secure the ball and work different muscles in the process. However, it also makes the ball more difficult to handle as you get more and more tired and try different movements. I've recently bought some hockey tape and covered most of the ball with it. Time will tell if this is lasting fix or not.

Not a good quality ball. Was covered with sand or whatever is inside when I opened it. Super hard and hard to grip. Returned right away then got charged for it saying I did not send back same item. Had to call Amazon to resolve. Would not buy from this seller

Excellent quality slam ball but out is much much larger than I originally thought! But not a bad thing, just not a traditional sized slam ball. 12lbs is a heavy slam ball….. if you are planning to use a slam ball to pick up more throwing velo for baseball, or football, then I would suggest 8-10lbs. The overall larger size of this ball allows you to use a lighter weight than you’d expect and much better results since the ball takes up a larger distribution of space and trains smaller supporting muscles vs the smaller slam balls.

Contrary to the title of Amazon's product page, this is NOT a slam ball. It's a medicine ball. If you look at the company's website, it states that the warranty is void if this ball is slammed to the ground from overhead. That said, it's a very well made medicine ball for the price. The stitching seems more than adequate and the PU leather feels like it's good quality. It should hold up well when being used as a wall ball or for low impact floor exercises. I don't find it to be particularly slippery, as other reviewers have mentioned, and the weight is centred well in the one I received. This ball is a welcome addition to my home gym and a great way to keep workouts fun by adding some variety.

The weight is very off balance so you have to be very careful not to hurt yourself when doing wall balls.
