Well Built
I've had this up for several months now and everything seems fine.It has weathered the Arizona sun and several wind storms without a problem. So I can say two important things about this product:1. The stitching and rings that take most of the load are strong and durable.2. It appears that the fabric is very UV resistant. There is no fading after 4 months of every day sun in Arizona - none.I expect that my 3 months of Arizona UV exposure is equal to 6 months or more in Northeastern climes.Time will tell, but at this rate I expect at least 10 years like the fabric that covers my ramada. Great plastic nowadays.I paid much more at a box store for a similarly well constructed sail but I can't tell them apart. The other sail is over a year old with no signs of degradation either. Probably comes out of the same factory with a different label. Even the seem stitching is identical and really how many textile firms are producing this fabric?The more expensive and time consuming part of these sails is installation hardware and properly fastening them to account for storms. Wish they made an adjustable tension release for monsoon thunderstorms - like something that breaks specifically at say 250 lbs of tension. Nonetheless, mine still stood up to wind as the deeply buried metal poles bent from the force. Make as tense as possible to avoid the sail boat issue.Accessories not included and so if you don't even own a drill, you may be under-qualified to whine about installation and lack of hardware; those are many of the poor reviews I read here.Solid product and great price. You can purchase this with confidence. Highly recommended and at this price you can afford to replace it if something goes wrong.

Lower quality than earlier version
I bought one of these a few years ago and wanted a couple more for more coverage. The new ones are much cheaper than the original one I received. The new ones are much more see-through, which tells me that they let a lot more sunlight (and UV rays) through. The material is noticeably thinner, the hemmed edges are much less robust (1/2 the thickness) and the metal end loops are much smaller. Ultimately, due to all this, they stretch a bit more. In addition, the color is much more yellow than tan. All this might be fine and dandy if you don't have another to compare it with. However, due to all of this, I am a bit disappointed, as I expected the same selected product, same description from the same seller to be THE SAME AS BEFORE. I guess that's what one gets when they assume! The manufacturing world is cutting corners every year, and this is a perfect example. But, I do not believe that this is from the same manufacturer. The original came in a clear thick bag with a handle, with a full product description (picture, upc, etc) inside. These just came in a box with a rope that I would not use. I will add some photos as comparison if anyone is interested. That is probably pointless though.

covered by it's brother up top
Just to you know a year later I had my top piece denigrate and it did take most of the sun so kudos for it's sacrifice in our Florida sun in upper central state. My praise is that even though the instructions are to keep these taught I like the saggy baggy look. These have been up one year minus a couple big wind storms we knew were coming, then back up they go. I have seen wind whip them up and down with pounding rain and they are still standing a year later. I don't expect much more than 2 years from our sun but we will see.... Just letting you know I bought these in July of 2019 but my purchase history said 2012 when I came here to review this item so what the heck?? They didn't go up until Sept. when I had a party planned for Oct but just fyi...I don't always trust reviews on here and now ZI am even more suspicious since this item has been around for what one review says is 6 yrs....only 196 reviews at the writing of this. Also I paid with shipping for 2 items they are asking for this one. Surely the upgraded tech ; }

Great Product for a great price.
We purchased this triangle shade for our dog pen. We have two large black labs who have no shade. The Indirect Triangle shade is really awesome. So awesome in fact, that we purchased another one. The labs use to head back into their building soon after the sun came up but now laze under the sails most of the day. I don't have to rush to let them out of their pen so they can seek a cooler spot! Very sturdy material and for me, the triangle fasteners in each corner were perfect. All we purchased were two large hooks to screw into the building and we already had the fence posts. The rope that came with each sail worked beautifully. They dry quickly when rained upon and I've never seen even a hint of mildew. We make sure it's a very dry day before storing for the year. When put up for the first time in the spring after being stored, there are no wrinkles in them after being stored all year. I highly recommend these.Update 5/15This is the fourth year for these sun shades and other than a little fading, they are in perfect shape. We take them down in October of each year, fold and place in trash bags to keep clean and then back up in May. I can't believe the quality and workmanship. No fraying or holes anywhere. To me, they were worth the cost even if I only got one year out of them, but going on 4!!!!!!!!!

poor quality
I opened the package and could tell immediately this was of poor quality. I never even took it out of the box. I have seen material like this before and suspect it would maybe last one summer surely sag. You get what you pay for. If you would expect any longevity out of your sunshade better keep shopping. This is only my opinion as I never used it but the quality was obvious if you know anything about sunshade materials...
