THE fix for patellar tracking disorder
After dealing with patellar tracking issues on and off for 10+ years, I finally discovered this brace that lets me continue exercising without aggravating the condition. Continuing to exercise through a patellar tracking flare-up is essential, because maintaining strong muscles is a must for stabilizing the knee. Yet exercising can be tricky because, without properly supporting the knee, the impact and stress of exercise can make the knee feel worse. I've tried at least two other types of knee brace, and they were better than nothing but didn't do much. This brace is the only thing I've found that is designed such that it effectively addresses a loose kneecap. It does this by way of a thick, hard pad that gently pushes the kneecap into proper alignment and holds it there. I don't think this brace would help much with anything other than patellar tracking. It doesn't provide much compression. I don't have arthritis so can't say for sure, but I doubt this brace would help with that, and I think it's underrated here because people tried it for arthritis and it didn't help. A couple of tips for using this brace for patellar tracking problems: - Wear the brace as much as possible, but definitely while exercising. It will make all the difference in range of motion, impact tolerance, and in how strenuously you can exercise. When you're not exercising, it still works well to support your daily activities and gradually train the kneecap to stay where it belongs. - Do NOT overtighten the brace. Intuitively, I wanted to wear the brace extra tight, thinking this would result in faster recovery from my flare-up. But overtightening it made things worse, causing pain on the outside of the kneecap, where I'd never had it before. In my experience, the brace works best when it is tightened just short of the point of actual tension. The straps should feel slightly loose. This seems like it wouldn't work, but it does. I love this thing and am tempted to buy more of them just in case it gets taken off the market.

Great brace for preventing kneecap dislocation!!!
My 16 year old daughter dislocated her kneecap. After healing and PT, she was able to play high level softball again. This brace is perfectโฆit has a harder C shaped support to hold the knee cap in place from moving out, the velcro straps are very solid and hold well, and the brace is small enough to be worn under her softball pants without noticing its there. She does wear a thin CopperFit sleeve under the brace to avoid any rubbing. She can do anything on the field nowโฆincluding sprinting, sliding, and pitching. This is by far the best brace of the many we tried. 5 stars and would buy again if we wear this one out.

Finally - Meniscus, Tracking, and Patella Relief
Wish I had thought to look for this type of support years ago. I've had ACL surgery using my patella for the repair then years later another meniscus repair which has caused my knee to act up with improper knee cap tracking as well as meniscus pain not allowing me to play sports often times. I've always had a conventional larger support which greatly hinders movement, nor really focuses on my issues, but with this much shorter design it is awesome. The crisscross bands are smart providing perfect support then the half circle padded area does its job to help knee track properly and just enough pressure on the meniscus area without causing any pain. My knee had been popping out and very sore for over a week along with unable to fully bend upward but immediately was able to the moment I put this support on, couldn't believe it. In addition, after wearing for a couple of hours when I took it off my knee on its own was tracking better with no more meniscus issue either. The support was able to realign everything only having to put it on when it acts up or I'm about to do an activity. Some reviews complained about the seam in the back which it sounded like the company was going to address but apparently didn't as it's absolutely horribly uncomfortable. It's the one reason I could only wear it for a short time until I thought to throw on a Tommy Copper sleeve I had which is like a wearing a nylon and that solved feeling the brutal stitching of the seam. Seriously, why not invert the seam, who cares about looks, it's about comfort, fix this issue. Other than that I'm thankful for the multiple functionality and support this product provides.

Works well for me and my wonky patella. More comfortable than other similar braces I have tried
This has actually worked really well for me. I have tried other J butress braces for poor patellar tracking and repeated subluxation but most are too uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I havent had that problem with this brace.

Hear Me!
I have little to no interior cartilage in my right knee, a partial interior replacement on my left knee back in 2012. Left replacement is nearing the end of it's life cycle, I had PRP treatments, opted for GEL on the 2nd go around because its covered by insurance on my right knee, and I am a candidate for a replacement surgery on my right knee. I play pickleball 3-4 times a week at a fairly competitive level and I want to keep playing. I have spend HUNDREDS on knee braces. I purchased this brace yesterday, it came next day, I put it on and I felt immediate relief! The interior gel pad fits right over my interior bone on bone, you can tighten it as much as you want, and you feel immediate relief on the joint. I got lucky the 1st time ordering the correct size. I am 5'7" 175lbs and I purchased a medium and it fit perfectly. I hope this helps, this is a great knee brace if you have similar issue and hopefully this post will save you money from testing other products?

I measured my knee in order to medium but I needed an extra large!
I had a fabric tape measure. Anyways so I wrap it around the top of my knee cap under my knee and back to the top and it said that my knee was 14 inches around and I had my knee extended. I ordered the medium based on the sizing chart. I put it on and it was cutting into my skin on the top and the bottom! Not only was it way too tight oddly enough it wasn't tight enough around my kneecap! That was the loose area I showed it to my physical therapist and he was like let me measure you. He did it a little differently then I did and said I'm actually 16 in around. He did make note that the piece you strap over the knee to push the patella over slightly to the left was not pushing the kneecap. Either I have extremely small kneecaps or this is too round to be efficient for actually gripping and pushing it over. So be careful in measuring and I weigh 165 lb and 5 ft 3 and it did not do anything but rest the side my kneecap when I put it as tight as it would go. I recommend getting another brand than this one unless you have meaty thighs and bigger kneecaps I mean I don't know. I hope this helps.

Runs small, size up.
This brace does what it says it will: supports pateller tracking. However, I measured right in the middle of the range for a medium, and my brace is too small. It bruised my leg slightly after wearing it most of the day for a 5 mile hike in rough terrain. My usual knee pain did not bother me at all, but the brace did. I have some soreness and bruising on the back of my knee from the brace. I'm going to order a large and try again. It seems like a well-made brace, and it does provide the support I need. I could not have completed the hike without it.

Keeps an aging surfer in the water
I'm a 65-year-old surfer, and arthritis is taking its toll on my knees. As the pain of popping up on my board has increased, I was beginning to think my wave-riding days might be numbered. This product saved the day for surfing in warm water (i.e., without a wetsuit). The patella stabilizer keeps my kneecap firmly in place, virtually eliminating the pain produced by the slightest twist. I'm 5'10" and 180 lbs, and the medium fits just right. I bought two: One for surfing (see photo) and the other for dry land. When wearing the brace in big surf where I'm getting bounced around a lot, I have to periodically adjust the velcro straps to keep the stabilizer in position. Out of the water, I rarely have to make adjustments. Wearing the brace under a wetsuit is uncomfortable -- too tight. (I might try wearing it over my suit to see what happens.) But for everyday walking-around use and warm water surfing, this is a great product.
