My wife and I were recommended this exact brand by my child's peditrician and it has helped her so much. Her iron is no longer low, she never got constipated or any other side effects. However, we did use it as her Peditrician recommended. We also tried it to see what it taste like and it is not awful, so when we first gave it to her she was hesitant, however after taking it and realizing it did not have that bad medicine taste she takes it easily.

My daughter loves the taste of the chocolate flavored one and takes it willingly every day. It hasn’t improved her iron levels a whole lot after taking for a few months but they have gone up some. The downside is that it really stains clothes and teeth.

Our 13 month old hated his iron drops. He seems to think these ones are pretty good. Would definitely recommend if you've got a little one who doesn't like their iron supplement

I have been using this brand of pediatric iron drops for almost a year now. Our son, who has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, was low on iron and our pediatrician recommended putting him on a popular brand of iron supplement for children. Being the researcher that I am I did some digging to find a brand that had good reviews without the added artificial coloring and garbage. I came across NovaFerrum Pediatric Drops and was very intrigued. After reading some reviews, particularly the one(s) complaining about the product ingredient Sodium Benzoate, I decided to contact the manufacturer to communicate about the ingredient and express my concerns. Of course I researched Sodium Benzoate since I had never heard of it before. It is a preservative used to keep pathogens from contaminating products, such as pediatric iron drops, and getting consumers sick. Now, there's a whole slew of information out there about this particular preservative, (which you will find in/on a ton of things...from Taco Bell sauce packets to fresh produce at your grocery store) and most if it is bad. This is the reason I contacted the manufacturer...and I am very glad I did. They responded to my inquiry very quickly to address my concerns and answer some other questions I had. As luck would have it the company was at a business meeting in my home town that week and the "customer service rep" who responded was going to be there. He offered to meet me at the expo to give me a couple samples and discuss my concerns. I thought this was a great opportunity to talk about my concerns and try the product. When I met with the "rep" it turned out to be none other than the CEO and Founder of Gensavis Pharmaceuticals. I was very impressed at his willingness to meet with me and discuss his product. He explained to me that he created this product for his own daughter so she could get her iron supplement without having the tummy problems that normally accompany iron supplementation. He addressed my concerns about Sodium Benzoate by explaining why it's in there. There is a trace amout present in the product because this product is given to neonates who, obviously, have very delicate and weak immune systems. A trace amount that will protect teeny babies from getting sick in the event contamination occurs all the while giving them the iron they so need to thrive. Needless to say this changed my thinking. I appreciate his willingness to explain and stand by his product and to take time out of his busy schedule to address my concerns. Very excellent customer service...probably the best I've received. My personal experience with the product itself had been great. My son had sensory issues and often has a hard time with tastes and textures. This produce does have an iron, metalic taste. That's hard to completely avoid in something like this. However, the smell and flavor is absolutely better than the other brands we've tried hands down. I can get my son to take it straight, but he does make a face when he swallows it. So, I have opted to give him his entire daily dose in his morning orange juice. The vitamin C aids in absorption. This product is very gentle on his stomach and had never caused him problems. He drinks his orange juice with no fuss at all and sometimes, if you can believe it, reminds me to put his iron in his OJ. Hooray!! I won't claim this product to be a miracle supplement, but will absolutely express my astonishment at how this iron supplement has improved my son's behavior tremendously. For those who aren't familiar with ADHD, most children with the disorder are anemic. Anemia itself causes fatigue along with a slew of other symptoms which, as you can imagine, leads to a grumpy kid. A grumpy ADHD kid, at that. Oy. Vey. While I will not claim this product has cures his ADHD and behavior issues, it has made an amazing difference in his iron levels and subsequently his behavior. If he feels better he'll do better!! Simple as that. In summation, I am extremely satisfied with the effectiveness of this product as well as the customer service I received from the company. I highly recommend this product!! I do suggest getting your doctor's approval before giving iron supplements to children.
