A: I don’t know. There has never been a reason for me to stick them in the microwave.

A: Yes, they are solid glass.

**Q: How hot can they get?**
A: They are glass rods and would have no problem at 220 degrees F. 

I expect if you got the glass red hot to do glass art, these rods would work well for that as well.

I use the rods to stir flavored water which I make in a large pitcher.
