I am buying a second set to add more to our kitchen. Great value, good quality.
SHARP! Before making the purchase I looked at the steel used to forge these knives. This is a high-quality German steel that retains a sharp edge for a long time reducing the need to constantly sharpen the blade. Past experience with a relatively inexpensive knife set was disappointing with edges ragged and far from being truly sharp. Right out of the box these knives are delightfully sharp with clean edges. And these were only $28 making this set a very good value for the price, especially with the steel used. I prefer non-serrated knives for two reasons: 1. They do not tear meat. 2. They can easily be sharpened unlike serrated knives which essentially have to be thrown away. Delivery was quick, the product was well packaged and certainly is as described. The handle fits nicely in my hand and the blade is full length with the tang extending beyond the end of the handle. No worry about the knife blade breaking or handle coming off. The size is perfect for the intended use whereas some steak knives in this price range are much shorter. It looks expensive but came in at a very affordable price.

Very sharp, great quality
These knives appear to be excellent quality and can easily compete with name-brand, more expensive knives. They are very sharp and come in a protective box that keeps them safe. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend them. After two months of use, they have held their edge well and still look brand new.

Punching above their weight, er price
I'd been wanting some new steak knives for a while, since my old ones were getting pretty beat up. I bought a private label brand (from this site) a few years ago and at first I thought they were a bargain because they looked nice, felt good in the hand, and seemed to be well constructed. But they didn't cut well, and the big serrations seemed to tear more than cut. So back to my old ones I went. I like these Oaksware knives for a number of reasons. First and foremost for me, they are NOT serrated. I prefer how a sharp, smooth-bladed knife cuts meat and veggies compared to a serrated knife, and I'm reasonably adept at sharpening non-serrated knives. These are on the larger side but not ridiculous, and they have a nice heft to them without seeming overly bulky. Well balanced, these knives have great handles and are easy to, well, handle. Quality construction, with a decent grade of steel, full tang, comfortable handles, nice looking, and sharp out of the box. After nearly pulling the trigger on more expensive German-brand knives (both of the main ones), I'm glad I cheaped out a little bit and took the chance on these. My kitchen knives run the gamut from no-names, to common American brands, and vintage German knives made in Solingen, and these fit in well with my eclectic collection. They look more expensive than they were and they work very well. We'll see about durability, time will tell, but I fully expect them to last a long time, and I'm going to buy four more. Nothing not to like, except that they're a tad too wide to fit the steak knife slots in my block, so they'll stay in a drawer but that's fine.

Very impressed
For the price, these are really nice knives. I use them daily. They are easy to sharpen. I would recommend these knives over higher cost premium knives. They are sharp, durable, and great for daily use. I would strongly recommend hand wash only. Dishwashers will dull the blades just like it would for any knife

Excellent Knives.
I just bought this very sharp knives and my wife loved them when she cut up a Huge Washington Naval Oranges 🍊 and it cut so well that today she ordered another 8 set knives. I have German HENCKELS Knives Set a few years ago and every time I keep to use any of these knives I have to Sharpen each one and especially trying cut Brisket or Watermelons 🍉 the knives right away lose their Sharpest. They are worth the Price and will order the same knives but larger set instead.

Pretty darn impressive for the price
Holding back one star because I don’t know how Rust resistant or sharp these will stay, but trust me, I’ve done a bunch of research, and these are pretty nice for what you’re paying. I’ve seen steak knives, at more than 50 bucks a pop, and I don’t mean the set, I mean each! So are these the most fabulous steak knives you can buy? Undoubtedly, no, but I’m a stickler for looks when it comes to knives as well as functionality, and these appear to be pretty nice little knives. Their statement about being sharp through thousands of cuts is yet to be tested, but truthfully, I don’t think any knife at any price you pay for it is good for thousands of cuts. All knives need to be sharpened - some sooner than later and the trade-off is typically hardness. But with hardness comes brittleness and the harder the knife is the harder it is to sharpen;, the softer the blade, the more forgiving, and the easier it is to sharpen, but I wouldn’t hesitate ordering this if I were you if price is a concern. nice heavy duty feel. the only thing I could say that was a surprise was the size. These aren’t exactly dainty knives. They are good sized and nice and hefty..

Sharp, cut well, feel great.
This set of knives came fairly sharp and cut well. No complaints! They look great, feel great and have good heft. And they make really great steak knives. They should be hand washed and dried. I highly recommend them.

Finally, a very good non-serrated steak knife!
We don’t particularly like serrated steak knives but trying to find decent, affordable non-serrated steak knives is tough. We have a large block Calphalon knife set that included 8 serrated steak knives and, while I feel they are a decent knife, we would have preferred non-serrated. After much looking and researching, we found this 8 piece Oaksware set and ordered it. The knives arrived individually wrapped with a boxed wooden block. The knives were not razor sharp, they were SCARY SCALPEL sharp. My finger lightly bumped into one and drew blood. So be very careful handling these when you get them. The blades are thinner than the hollow ground Calphalon steak knives so at first I thought the Oakswares were a cheap knife. Not true. They are an affordable, excellent quality knife, IMO. After a dozen uses, they are still very sharp but not scary sharp like when they first arrived. I had to chuckle a little because the instructions for use said something to the affect of do not use on stoneware or hard dishes and showed a picture of cutting a steak on a wooden cutting board. Well, I don’t know about you but I cut my steak on a plate, not on a cutting board. Maybe the company wants the knives to keep their sharpness? But the real world is the real world. To reiterate, the knives are still very sharp after a dozen uses even though I cut my steak and pork chops on our stoneware plates. While I like and recommend these knives, they would not fit into my Calphalon block. The blades are taller than the Calphalon steak knives so the slots in the block were too short and the Oakswares would not insert into the block all the way. I purchased a keyhole type saw and lengthened the slots a little and the Oakswares insert fully now. Being an average guy and unable (and unwilling) to spend hundreds of dollars on so called “top quality” knives, I find these Oaksware to be a really good choice.

Ziemlich gut
Tatsächlich sind die Messer schön scharf und recht gut verarbeitet. Wir nutzen sie allerdings nur gelegentlich zum Steak essen. Gespült werden diese Messer ausschließlich von Hand.
